As with the Brady saga it all depends on Rodgers now.

I just don’t see Jimmy G.

I’m sure if we go Rodgers that #7 will be gone :(

Anyway,if we don’t go Rodgers we have lots of options.Hopefully Stroud or Young fall a little,if not I like Wilson from Tech,Skoronski,Porter or Gonzales.

Jimmy G would be dating all the porn stars in vegas. That would be a bad fit for our team.

The porn stars? Or the idea that he'd be dating all of them?

You got it right with the

From what I have read on the www he has gone from a 2-3 to a 1-2. I would venture to guess that the ravens would have a big interest in him.

Devon Witherspoon looks real good. 44 passer rating when targeted. No TDs given up. 6’1”. A little light at 180 currently but not a huge issue. Leaning towards this guy. He also fast.

Tyree Wilson just makes so much sense where we are because he looks like the perfect blend of speed, power, length, motor & IQ when you watch him

I’ve seen a lot of Montez Sweat comparisons & i agree with them whole heartedly but the funny thing is i remember when Sweat came out the guy he was compared to mostly was Chandler Jones

Wilson learning from Jones whilst splitting time would be great for both guys careers

Give me Drew Sanders or Jack Campbell later on then i think we have something to work with

If he is there at #7. The Seahawks should take him at #5. Also, Sweat was my pick that year.

With the exception of the HBCU Legacy game to be played on 2/25/23, the exhibition season is over. The NFL Combine begins on 2/28/23, so this is a good time to discuss prospects. Please share your own observations as well as others.

One thing I came away with is that while this isn't a particularly strong draft overall, there are more high quality players in the mid school ranks than I thought. My favorite round in terms value might be the 4th round, so I am hoping for a trade down in the first if we don't love a QB. Why get a Tyree Wilson (who I like) at #7 if you can trade down and get a base sized DE in Tui Tulipulotu or Keion White and pick or two to fill LB, CB or OG? I'd also consider pairing a 6th with a couple of 7ths or a 6th to back into the 4th.

Also of note, during the Senior Bowl telecast, Charles Davis said the days of scouting by production are a thing of the past, you scout by skill set. This is something I have tried to relay here. If you have the skill set and the football character to go with it, you have an NFL prospect. The college production is more about the individual's circumstance- system, playing time, development, etc. Yes, it counts, but it is one part of the evaluation. QB Jason White had incredible college production and it meant absolutely nothing because he didn't have a pro skill set. How many teams passed on 5th rounder Tariq Woolen who got 6 picks and a Pro Bowl selection as a rookie when the skill set was elite? One guy that fits a similar profile this year is Bill Musgrave's boy Luke. He has two TDs in his college career, but a closer look reveals he had limited opportunities early in his career due to the depth chart and an injury later in his career. Yet you can tell in a few seconds of watching him move at 6'6", 255lbs, this is an NFL TE all day long with the potential to be a top tier at his position in the future. He has the goods.

Here is IMO a great breakdown of the defensive players in this draft according to one guy. I am super high on several players mentioned as well as one HBCU invite that wasn't on the list.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=l3pK7ZE4KJY

DT Benton- At a rock solid 317 pounds, this guy is flying under the Radar. He can play both the pass and the run and effective playing over and under.

CB Brents- I was high on this king sized CB earlier and his stock has only improved. He is a force tackler and is getting strong comparisons to Richard Sherman.

CB Stevenson- 214 pounds, fast as hell and can mirror, he is now a consideration for bottom of the first round.

LB Henley- I and a couple of others me mentioned him several weeks ago as a 3rd or early 4th rounder. What he did was confirm his everything we knew and cover even better than his scouting report. He weighed over 230lbs and had 33" arms.

LB Land- What a freak. He was an undersized EDGE at Florida A&M but looked good at a LB this week. He looks a lot like the Colts Shaq Leonard on the field. He simply cannot be blocked as a pass rusher/blitzer.

* Two more

LB Miller- The Jackson State product was literally running through RBs on passing protection drills.

OLB Cox- Kicked off of Florida during the year, but man is this guy a specimen at 254 pounds and a mean mofo on the field that can deliver the type of hit not one on out team can outside of a squared up Perryman.

Here is a fair assessment of Levis from a Colts fan. The main premise here is that you don't know where the top ten hype is coming from.

Is Levis that much better then Drew lock as a prospect?

Outside of Young, I don't get the top 10 hype out of any of the qbs in the draft

It probably won't happen but I wouldn't be surprised at all if these qbs slid, much like last years class. I just don't see anyone that special that I'd throw my top 10 pick at
