I'd have Witherspoon at 7 and DTR in the 5th instead. But what I'm thinkingCWood24 wrote Fri Mar 24, 2023 12:43 am:I’m gonna throw a name back into the hat at #7
Myles Murphy

Gives me JPP/AldonSmith vibes
I know people are gonna use the “we should be wary of Clemson guys” line but this kid aint Ferrell he has the attributes & measurable's that Ferrell didn't
With his versatility & size he kind of fits what Graham looks for i think he could be a guy that people are forgetting that will be in play at #7
Although i like Murphy he isn't my pick at #7 right now my 7 round draft looks like this:-
1st - Christian Gonzalez CB
2nd - Jack Campbell LB
3rd - Keeanu Benton DT
3rd - Thomas Incoom Edge
4th - Ronnie Hickman LB
5th - McClendon Curtis OG
5th - Henry Bainivalu OG
5th - Clayton Tune QB
6th - Brevyn Spann-Ford TE
7th - Starling Thomas CB/KR

I wouldn't mind us drafting Carter or a QB with the purpose of trading down. I think that would be the only 2 situations where a team would move up for. IF not its Gonzalez all the way. A player who is not a reach and fill a HUGE need.CWood24 » Fri Mar 24, 2023 3:46 am
The only other change i’d make would be Ika for Benton especially if we play more 3-4 front as having bigger guys across that front 3 would be more beneficial although i don't think Ika will be there in the 3rdWolfRaider wrote Fri Mar 24, 2023 2:44 am:I'd have Witherspoon at 7 and DTR in the 5th instead. Agreed. I believe I was the first to mention he would line up from a BPA standpoint, but let's just stop this because it doesn't make any practical sense.MexicanHulk wrote Thu Mar 23, 2023 9:46 pm:Just no to Robinson (any RB) in the first round. Especially when you have the roster the Raiders have. Who need nearly everything on defense & Oline. The only way you take a RB in the first if he’s Tecmo Bowl Bo. & he plays in real life like the video game. FYI, that’s not happening. Make any argument you want, it’s still not best for the team. Any team.
I love Robinson. Would love to have him on the team. But not at that price because of what you can have. He could be a top 3 RB year one &, a good CB, DE, DT (not even elite but pretty good) provides 3x’s the value an elite RB does. No to a RB in the first. Especially top half 1st

I saw another mock that was VERY similar. It had Sanders rather than Campbell, but Gonzalez and Benton in the same spots. He had HaenerWolfRaider wrote Fri Mar 24, 2023 2:44 am:I'd have Witherspoon at 7 and DTR in the 5th instead. But what I'm thinking

Seriously? From my post, you saw a suggestion of conspiracy? You're looking too hard for a conspiracy. Finding a conspiracy in something I said is serious tinfoil hat stuff.16 to 88 wrote Thu Mar 23, 2023 8:50 pm:*GASP*
Teams conspire? Imagine that. Nah, it's just gotta be "tin foil hat stuff".

RB is not worth it at 7 simply because you can get an extremely good RB for a reasonable price by signing or trading (cheaply) for a vet and you get a guy who's already good at picking up a blitz in the NFL. You can't get that kind of reasonably priced production at QB, edge, WR, CB unless you just happen to hit on someone unexpected who suddenly takes a leap.FLORIDARAYDAH » Fri Mar 24, 2023 6:33 am

Teams lie to hide their intentions - that's not a conspiracy.
Individual teams take players based on who they think will be good, and their own biases are in those evaluations - that's not a conspiracy.

If we’re talking Haener in the 5th as a backup i wouldn't hate it especially if it means getting our guy next yearDark Horse wrote Fri Mar 24, 2023 4:08 am:I saw another mock that was VERY similar. I agree. However true elite backs on rookie deals can carry offenses for years and free up money and decisions for elsewhere in the meantime. They can also have an immediate, team changing effect like few other positions, maybe only QB, can have. If we were guaranteed 4 years of production like what Henry has been the last few I'd think pretty hard about it.chucker wrote Fri Mar 24, 2023 6:11 am:RB is not worth it at 7 simply because you can get an extremely good RB for a reasonable price by signing or trading (cheaply) for a vet and you get a guy who's already good at picking up a blitz in the NFL. This is true, but the problem even if we get a high pick for Jacobs is that our first round pick would go on RB. The only offensive position we should through that sort of resource in is QB, because of the rarity. If not, that pick needs to be spent on defense.Jeevo wrote Fri Mar 24, 2023 8:04 am:I agree. Again, I do agree though.

Yup. Just saying if it happened I've gone from heading to the nearest high bridge to maybe seeing something in it.Dark Horse wrote Fri Mar 24, 2023 9:05 am:This is true, but the problem even if we get a high pick for Jacobs is that our first round pick would go on RB.
