I know people are gonna use the “we should be wary of Clemson guys” line but this kid aint Ferrell he has the attributes & measurable's that Ferrell didn't

With his versatility & size he kind of fits what Graham looks for i think he could be a guy that people are forgetting that will be in play at #7

Although i like Murphy he isn't my pick at #7 right now my 7 round draft looks like this:-

1st - Christian Gonzalez CB
2nd - Jack Campbell LB
3rd - Keeanu Benton DT
3rd - Thomas Incoom Edge
4th - Ronnie Hickman LB
5th - McClendon Curtis OG
5th - Henry Bainivalu OG
5th - Clayton Tune QB
6th - Brevyn Spann-Ford TE
7th - Starling Thomas CB/KR

I'd have Witherspoon at 7 and DTR in the 5th instead. But what I'm thinking

I wouldn't mind us drafting Carter or a QB with the purpose of trading down. I think that would be the only 2 situations where a team would move up for. IF not its Gonzalez all the way. A player who is not a reach and fill a HUGE need.

The only other change i’d make would be Ika for Benton especially if we play more 3-4 front as having bigger guys across that front 3 would be more beneficial although i don't think Ika will be there in the 3rd

Witherspoon or Gonzalez would be fine with me both fill a NEED & look like elite prospects

As for QB DTR, Max Duggan, Clayton Tune, Stetson Bennett wtc would be fine for me not as developmental guys but more as backups, if they get playing time & do. Brock Purdy then great if not we have our own developed system QB as a cheap backup option

Agreed. I believe I was the first to mention he would line up from a BPA standpoint, but let's just stop this because it doesn't make any practical sense.

I saw another mock that was VERY similar. It had Sanders rather than Campbell, but Gonzalez and Benton in the same spots. He had Haener in Tune's spot.

You know what you'd be hearing on this site right now if Jacobs wasn't getting tagged? :"Jacobs got over 2,000 total yards in his 4th season. But some desperately want the Raiders to draft a QB in the 1st round, even if it's the little drummer boy or jack (of jack and jill went up the hill).

RBs are worth top 10 picks and always will be as long as they...

score some f**king TDs!!!

A RB who only scores 12 TDs on over 2,000 yards is an embarrassment to the elite RBs of the past. You are correct that part time RBs who put up 12 TDs in a season can be found without using a top 10 draft pick.

And the draft value/ salary cap FA pay dropped because of 2 reasons - 1. teams prefer to overpay QBs and pass rushers, meaning that some other positions had to get screwed [that would be RBs and Safeties] and 2. yards and TDs have been taken away from RBs and given to the increasing number of running QBs.

In a few years, when teams realize that RBs who score TDs are more valuable than pass rushers and running QBs... the pendulum will swing back.

You can argue your position, but that doesn't make your position absolute or static. Most fans can see that if Jacobs had scored 4 more timely TDs in 4 separate games that were lost, those 4 TDs could have resulted in 4 more wins and Jacobs being worth QB pay for that season.

GMs should be paying for wins, not for fantasy football stats or popular players of female fans.

I wouldn't draft any of the QBs in the top 10 picks of the 2023 draft, but I would draft Robinson in the top 10. We'll see 5 years down the road which of us had the better argument.

If we’re talking Haener in the 5th as a backup i wouldn't hate it especially if it means getting our guy next year

Although i think Tune matches up well to Jimmy G in strengths & weakness ie great on the short to intermediate routes, reads the field well, gas some mobility, goes through his progression. At worst i think he is a high end backup in the NFL.

This is true, but the problem even if we get a high pick for Jacobs is that our first round pick would go on RB. The only offensive position we should through that sort of resource in is QB, because of the rarity. If not, that pick needs to be spent on defense.
