Looks like you started sniffing glue again. If we went offense with the first 2 picks, JMD and his Buddy Zig need to be fired before the 3rd pick.Willmark wrote Tue Mar 21, 2023 6:50 pm:If we could pull this one off? I'd go for it.

Looking at the sims there has to be some amount of randomization built in as well. As consistently as I'm seeing Young drop? Meyer is always around #22. IF we could get him at #38 I don't think anyone would be complaining.
I'm guessing the grading system also accounts for need (it has to as a parameter) and grades regardless of drop a higher weighting towards need.

Even though I think he's a hobbit who will get folded in half in the NFL, I'd be sprinting to the podium if he's available at 7.Willmark wrote Tue Mar 21, 2023 7:01 pm:Yesterday I focused on skipping him and did a bunch with us avoiding any Offense in the first 4 picks. These ones tonight are examples and Young is there each time @ pick 7 to do so.
Its largely immaterial as it would need to be run several thousand times for it to really mean anything.
ETA: here is what I've been mainly using: https://nfldraftlounge.com/2023-nfl-moc ... simulator/
There are a bunch of others out there.

I don't think he will either. It's simply a trend I've noticed.Arsenal Raider wrote Tue Mar 21, 2023 7:49 pm:Even though I think he's a hobbit who will get folded in half in the NFL, I'd be sprinting to the podium if he's available at 7.
I can't imagine he'll go that low

If we draft AR I’m going to puke. It would be JR all over again. His 55% completion rate is only going to get worse in the NFL. His measurables are insane indeed but those don’t translate to the game tape. Pass.rich72 » Tue Mar 21, 2023 10:20 pm
It would be a souped up version of Terrell Pryor.Raiderboy1966 wrote Tue Mar 21, 2023 8:44 pm:If we draft AR I’m going to puke. It would be JR all over again. From the positional boards I frequent that would be an incredible haul but probably not realistic...Willmark wrote Tue Mar 21, 2023 6:50 pm:If we could pull this one off? I'd go for it.

I played around with it a bunch last night after posting this to see if I could determine what logic it’s utilizing, trying to get different results.16 to 88 wrote Tue Mar 21, 2023 10:25 pm:From the positional boards I frequent that would be an incredible haul but probably not realistic...
Levis, Mayer, Stevenson and Sewell might all be there in those spots.
Wooden, Rodriguez and Joseph would be a toss up if they were available there.
Vorhees, Young, Smith, Hampton, Mingo would all be long gone at those spots.

You're living in the 1980's. First off, teams play 2 LBs more often than three. Second, teams pass over 60% of the time so like it or not, the LB you invest a high pick in better be able to cover. Third, have you seen our DL? It's pathetically weak and small overall and they aren't equipped to keep a LB Corp clean.GUYDON wrote Tue Mar 21, 2023 6:46 pm:You could take any number 1 CB from the draft or FA and he would be insta-trash with the raiders. The raiders used to be a DB factory, for those that remember. The league put rules in place to take that away. Now the refs jist run next to our corners with their flags out. We will NEVER fix this defense with corners. Or any db for that matter. Our only chance is to stop plays before they start.
3 stud linebackers, pile movers up front amd get another pass rusher to compliment Maxx. I would stay with average DBs because even if they are great they will look like shit on the Raiders by design.

What can I say, your just wrong. He has plenty attributes that will translate and then some. And his completion % WILL improve like any starter in the NFL including Josh Allen.Raiderboy1966 wrote Tue Mar 21, 2023 8:44 pm:If we draft AR I’m going to puke. It would be JR all over again. Is there a QB after the top 4, maybe 5 if you count Hooker, who you'd feel comfortable drafting in day 2 or 3 who would be ok coming to play year 1 once Jimmy G gets injured? The Duke » Wed Mar 22, 2023 10:12 am
I with you there. The problem with that is that no GM/HC fighting for their jobs are going to put any eggs into next year's basket, without an assurance that they will be back.RI RAIDER wrote Wed Mar 22, 2023 4:48 am:Hopefully a QB or Carter is available when we pick. We may be able to trade down. I would love to get a pick for next season. Doubtful but I am hoping.
