We know you’re immune to facts so let’s try this one:mranquales wrote Tue Dec 05, 2023 11:09 pm:The Jacobs apologists are delusional.
Josh Jacobs yards per carry average has been mediocre all of his years in the league minus two. He's trash. He's the reason our offense is neutered.

Jacobs career average is 4.3 yard per carry is mediocre? That’s your contention?
And for anyone else reading this, trust me I know he won’t answer this.

Yep my point. I think k it’s technically 4.26 as of last games stats currently, it’s going to have some fluctuations until the season is over.Attyla wrote Wed Dec 06, 2023 8:32 am:Eric Dickerson 4.3 ypa

Yes, but I would also draft a RB in one of the later rounds. I find everything that is behind Jacobs on the roster right now is rather bland. Would like to couple Jacobs with a smaller and quicker guy who excels at catching the ball. Just think moving forward it might be best to have more depth and more range at the position and be able to switch things up moving forward.heavyD wrote Wed Dec 06, 2023 8:37 am:I think the Raiders will sign Jacobs to an extension to have some stability in the backfield for AOC and the rookie QB they draft. I’m fine with that if it happens.

Im fine with Josh being here or not being here. I would like to see Zeus get a full game to see how he runs at some point.Sold My Soul wrote Wed Nov 29, 2023 8:09 pm:He was the NFL rushing leader last year for fucks sake....Forgive him if he doesn't live up to your expectations tin man.
While we all respect your opinion.....you do realize...... the D is keying on him every game because the QB play isn't a threat...... meaning.....
He is facing 7/8 man fronts.
You need to go back to mass and ask your god.....errrrrr....our god ...to grant you wisdom my brother.
And I offer this with no disrespect to you. Just want to give the respect where it belongs.....

It’s not just about drafting a guy in the late rounds. Or in any round. If there aren’t any good looking RB’s in rounds 5-7, I don’t want one drafted. I’d look to fill the spot elsewhere. If the RB’s in the 2-3 round range don’t look good, or one does but he’s picked, then skip it. Don’t just draft one just cause it calls for it. Lots of times, “experts/media” say the RB group is deep. But it really isn’t. They could name 7-8 RB’s with the “2nd-3rd round talent” upside but, in reality, probably only 2 are. If those are gone, then don’t draft one. Forget the other 5.signal wrote Wed Dec 06, 2023 8:47 am:Yes, but I would also draft a RB in one of the later rounds. Running back is one of those positions which is usually not over drafted. Obviously if there are is no one at the position you like, don't draft one. Josh Jacobs:Raider727 » Wed Dec 06, 2023 11:15 am
Ekeler is averaging 3.5 yards per carry and for being a dual threat only has 1 receiving td this season and Barkley only has 1 rushing td this season.Raiderfanrich » Wed Dec 06, 2023 3:34 pm
Despite being 'trash' and 'shitty' and all the other superlatives AND having a shit year behind bad blocking, Jacobs is 7th on the rushing list this season right now.mranquales wrote Wed Dec 06, 2023 10:43 am:Josh Jacobs:
2019 - 4.8
2020 - 3.9
2021 - 4.0
2022 - 4.9
2023 - 3.5
Like I stated, the MAJORITY of his career (3 years versus 2) he's been mediocre. Those two years eschew the stats. Now let's add some context. Josh Jacobs only plays well when his job depends on it. His rookie year when he was trying to establish himself as a feature back, and his contract year when Josh McDaniels was actively trying to demote him and ultimately get rid of him. You could also argue JJ's rookie year was a great run blocking year for the Raiders in general. Zamir White also averaged 4.1 YPC in JJ's contract year, so the OL was blocking well in general.
This year JJ is required to raise his skill set to get great yardage, which he is unable to do. In fact, there was a game where Zamir White had a much higher per carry average for the game than JJ did. JJ is overrated by many on this forum the same way Justin Ellis was. The best run JJ had was because of the OL opening up a GAPING hole multiple times, JJ got lucky and finally saw one and went through it for a TD.
@ Attyla, I thought you "never" stated JJ was elite? Now you're comparing him to the greatest RB's of all time? Hilarious. You are constantly contradicting yourself and proven wrong, the only difference is you have groupies who lap dance behind you and make you feel like you're right when you aren't. Just like you never claimed Justin Ellis was our best DT when it was obvious he was the reason we had the worst run defense those years.

So with a good scheme and blocking anyone can be great I guess?Raider727 wrote Wed Dec 06, 2023 11:15 am:Ekeler is averaging 3.5 yards per carry and for being a dual threat only has 1 receiving td this season and Barkley only has 1 rushing td this season.
Anyone who watches the Raiders can see that scheme and blocking has been bad almost all season.
When I see good rushing teams play designs, they are very creative with formations, motions and blocking schemes.
The Raiders have also desperately needed a running back to spell Jacobs but haven't been able to find one all of Jacobs career.

This made me curious to look up all-time ypc leaders. I was surprised to see Marv Hubbard high up on the list at 4.8 ypc. I always thought of him as a three yards and a cloud of dust guy.Attyla wrote Wed Dec 06, 2023 8:32 am:Eric Dickerson 4.3 ypa
