I think he's just running out of room on his body, so he tatted his head.

Exactly, and the talk is rooted in nothing at all. Waller >>> Renfrow and while he is a quality player, his 100 yard season is a Carr creation. Even Tim Brown said he doesn't want him getting 1000 yards again.

Start crying now. There'll be no 1st round QB in 2023 drafted by the Raiders.

Trade Market Value is taking an L.
Tatoos, unsightly ones especially, are popular.

Soccer grandmas are responsible.

Soccer grandma - "my son might look like a 30 year old freak, but he still gets a participation trophy!!! Or else!!!"

Waller earned his participation trophy in 2022 by missing half the season. He got paid... and the Raiders didn't get what they paid for.

Renfrow is replaceable, even upgradeable at his salary.
Waller isn't at almost any price.

If he goes there is little special about our targets beyond Adams at which point our team as far as difference makers is just down to Adams, Jacobs, and Crosby yet folks want to try to force open a Superbowl window with our dicks in our hands.

With our without Rodgers I doubt any of our core is going anywhere. Especially with Rodgers...

20 games over 2 season is easily replaceable also his production over those 2 years hasn't been otherworldly either

I’d personally cash in now whilst his trade value is still there you either use him as a makeweight in the Rodgers trade or you trade him & draft his replacement

Availability is the ability & Waller is only available half the time he needs to be

I may be hijacking this thread, but I started this thread so I'm allowed.

So I agree about everything you said but I think I understand the "Super bowl window" that the organization (maybe) or our fan base (more possible) may believe that we're in. I understand that our defense has been terrible. I get it. I also understand that it truly needs to be improved. However, these are the 2 things that stick out in my mind:

1) The playoff game against the Bengals (who would go on to get to the SB). The interception to Jermaine Pratt at the end of the game. There was no pressure and Carr force fed the ball to Jones who was covered like a blanket. Had he waited a half of a second and put some touch on it and actually scanned the field, he would have seen Waller with a 1 on 1 against Von Bell.

2) This season, again, I know our defense was bad. But (and I'm sorry to keep bringing this up but it drives me nuts) the Jaguars, Steelers, Cardinals and Rams games our offense scored 6 points combined in the 2nd half of those games. 6. We win those games (not out of the realm of possibility) and we're 10-7, in the playoffs and potentially the 5 seed because we have the same conference record as the Dolts but a better division record and going against the Jags in the playoffs who we already beat.

So let's say to be safe, we get eliminated in round 1, 2 straight years. And then we go and get Aaron Rodgers and solidify a few things this offseason. Is it really that outlandish to think that there's potential for a little run here?

The answer cannot be "Yes bc he'll cost too much" bc we don't know that that is true.

If they bring in Rodgers they don’t need Waller seeing Rodgers has never heavily targeted TE’s. Also they would need to shed some salary to take on Rodgers contract and I just think it’s too risky to gamble on his availability given how many games he’s missed over the past few seasons. When a guy misses as many games as he has over the past few seasons due to non-serious, nagging injuries you have to question the desire.

Trade Waller.

Problem is we are selling low rather than high. I like him but we just can’t rely on him.

If he’s part of the rumored trade for Rodgers and lessens the blow in terms of picks I’m for it.

I think a good TE is the best mismatch on the field.McD loves them obviously.Just off the top of my head I don’t think ARod has ever had a really good one.

I feel if he comes here he will use them since it’s McD’s offense.

I wouldn’t mind trading Waller though to soften the blow or to obtain more picks from somewhere else, but we will have a good TE next year and he/they will be used.

Rodgers will be $15 mill on our cap number. Why would we have to shed salary to take that on?

Because the defense requires significant improvement and there’s already too much money allocated to the offense.

So with Rodgers, we cant improve the defense? Without Rodgers we can?
