Side note on how ironic "trustworthy" reporting is. This quote from that link:
He's 26 and he only played 22 percent of the snaps last year in NE. However the year before, McDaniels last season with NE, he ran for over 900 yards and scored 15 touchdowns.
I realize it's not much of a need, but there isn't a lot of depth behind Jacobs. White barely played, Brown didn't play at all.

If things go bad with JJ and they wait, it would be more expensive.
