Could happen and that is the only scenario I see where the Raiders taking the bait. Adams is worth a 1st + or not worth trading.WolfRaider wrote Sat Jan 13, 2024 7:49 pm:Maybe but Jets are all in and Adams cap for the traded team is nothing really. Might get desperate

I'd gladly take a 2nd.STHfrontrow wrote Sat Jan 13, 2024 8:18 pm:Could happen and that is the only scenario I see where the Raiders taking the bait. Adams is worth a 1st + or not worth trading.
Adams is a building block and someone should be in his ear telling him can cement his legacy with the LV Raiders over the next few years.

The Jets do seem like the obvious destination but their first is 10 overall and that’s a huge haul for a 31 year old wideout with effectively a 1 year deal. They could just pick a wr at 10 that they would have for years on a rookie deal. They do have a weapon at wr1 already so they’re not really desperate.WolfRaider wrote Sat Jan 13, 2024 7:49 pm:Maybe but Jets are all in and Adams cap for the traded team is nothing really. Or maybe for future picks?Jeevo wrote Sat Jan 13, 2024 8:36 pm:The Jets do seem like the obvious destination but their first is 10 overall and that’s a huge haul for a 31 year old wideout with effectively a 1 year deal. It’s why I think a 3rd this year and a second next year makes sense.Jeevo wrote Sat Jan 13, 2024 8:36 pm:The Jets do seem like the obvious destination but their first is 10 overall and that’s a huge haul for a 31 year old wideout with effectively a 1 year deal. The Jets do not have a 2nd rd pick this draft. I would do a pick swap this season (going from 13 to 10) and a future pick (which loses a rd vs present day value). At 10, we could be in position to move up a little bit and leapfrog the Falcons and Vikings in case we are truly going to get a QB (I am not convinced we are).chucker » Sun Jan 14, 2024 6:29 am
Adams has been a great WR but he's getting up there in years, and he's on what is, effectively, a one year deal because the salaries in 2025 and 2026 are prohibitive. How is an older player with a one year contract a building block?STHfrontrow wrote Sat Jan 13, 2024 8:18 pm:Could happen and that is the only scenario I see where the Raiders taking the bait. Yes, Adams does bring value to the table outside of his on the field production.chucker wrote Sun Jan 14, 2024 6:29 am:Adams has been a great WR but he's getting up there in years, and he's on what is, effectively, a one year deal because the salaries in 2025 and 2026 are prohibitive. If we can't trade him for good value (at least a 2) then we should just keep him for the year. But we should also let him know that spreading the ball around between he and Meyers and Tucker is the plan. His work ethic and attention to detail have value in the development of Meyers and Tucker but we have to be on the way to relying on them instead of relying on Adams.

If I'm recalling the same play, that game ending fumble was the result of a devastating concussion. Knocked him completely unconscious and he missed many weeks after. It was the kind of hit they normally eject players for, but wasn't even flagged in our game.Raider727 wrote Thu Dec 28, 2023 11:44 am:He started the season fumbling 3x and was the reason the Raiders lost to the Cardinals.

With Adams and Meyers the Raiders need another speedy receiver instead, Renfrow isn't worth the cap hit he gets next year. If he's willing to stay for cheaper then I would want him back, but I'd rather the Raiders invest in the interior dline and oline instead.Arsenal Raider wrote Thu Feb 08, 2024 4:06 pm:If I'm recalling the same play, that game ending fumble was the result of a devastating concussion. The guy has disappeared a bit since then, but I'm not sure we should forget how nasty he can be on the field when allowed to do his thing. McDaniels neutered his opportunity to improvise and invent routes. (Anyone remember "Flat China" that he and Cooper Kupp pioneered several years back?)
He also has one of the hardest cuts I've ever seen in the open field. Must have insanely solid knees

Guess I'm outnumbered here and that's cool, but I think we have one of the best WR tandems in the league with Adams and Meyers. I don't care to break that up if I don't have to. Bolster the oline, add some competition at QB and let's roll.... got no need to give up a damn thing right now.HesterLayes » Mon Feb 12, 2024 6:34 am
I kind of agree, but as mentioned his contract is ass after this year. Like bad.Amish Cabal wrote Thu Feb 08, 2024 5:25 pm:Guess I'm outnumbered here and that's cool, but I think we have one of the best WR tandems in the league with Adams and Meyers. I don't really want a RB in return but completely agree that Adams is a one year guy for us given his contract, so this will be the only time we can get value in return for him.HesterLayes wrote Mon Feb 12, 2024 6:34 am:I kind of agree, but as mentioned his contract is ass after this year. Like bad.
Would any of you take Breece Hall straight up for him? I know player trades are kind of rare..just asking. I absolutely would of ARod demands he wants him and the Jets call
