Kirk Morrison was a sure tackler, let's get him back!GUYDON wrote Thu Mar 30, 2023 10:23 am:I would be happy with a LB that doesnt miss half his tackles. Can we start with a sure tackler?

I will allow it lolTrainnvain wrote Thu Mar 30, 2023 10:54 am:Kirk Morrison was a sure tackler, let's get him back!
edit- Attyla, is it ok to talk about former lbs?

Didn't he kill himself by driving his 7 series BMW over 100+ MPH?Trainnvain wrote Thu Mar 30, 2023 10:54 am:Kirk Morrison was a sure tackler, let's get him back!

You're thinking of Thomas Howard.STHfrontrow wrote Thu Mar 30, 2023 1:24 pm:Didn't he kill himself by driving his 7 series BMW over 100+ MPH?

I have discussed Kirk before. He was a pile jumper to get his stats up he was very rarely the first to the ball. 99% he would wait until the ball carrier was in the grasp then dive in. I like Kirk as a person hated him as a linebacker.Trainnvain wrote Thu Mar 30, 2023 10:54 am:Kirk Morrison was a sure tackler, let's get him back!

Morrison was guy who made a lot of tackles but didn't make many plays.GUYDON wrote Thu Mar 30, 2023 2:05 pm:I have discussed Kirk before. I completely agree.RI RAIDER wrote Thu Mar 30, 2023 9:58 am:Sorry. My point was talking about the D as a unit. Sure, Max is a BEAST. What does that mean at the end of the day. We will still have one of the worst D's in the league and it has been like that for an eternity. What is even more scary is our D is worse than a year ago at this time and we have a BRUTAL schedule going up against some vey high powered offenses.

This is true, but he was also affected by a DL in front of him that used to freelance for 60 minutes.Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote Thu Mar 30, 2023 2:10 pm:Morrison was guy who made a lot of tackles but didn't make many plays.
For instance: It's 3 and 5. The RB gets the ball and you tackle him after he's run 7 yards, thus getting the first down.
Did you make the tackle? Absolutely.
Did you make the play? You did not. Making the play would've meant stopping him before the first-down marker, not after.

Hopefully Graham gets it figured out...RI RAIDER wrote Thu Mar 30, 2023 9:58 am:Sorry. My point was talking about the D as a unit. Sure, Max is a BEAST. What does that mean at the end of the day. This is the deepest LB class i’ve seen in years there might be starters to be had through the first 3 roundsraiders93 » Fri Mar 31, 2023 6:49 pm
Sanders is my guy. He converted from edge to LB last year and was incredible. He also looks like he could be a damn good edge rusher. Could probably employ him in a similar manner to parsons (not saying he’s as good or freakish).CWood24 wrote Fri Mar 31, 2023 4:49 am:This is the deepest LB class i’ve seen in years there might be starters to be had through the first 3 rounds
if ever there was a time to draft at least one LB then this has to be the year
The nore i look at it Drew Sanders fits perfectly with what Graham want from his LB’s as he like his LB’s to be both coverage players and pass rushers also he like to use OLB’s in his nickel packages although Jack Campbell fits the physical mould
I also wouldn't be surprised with guys like Derrick Hall, Nick Herbig, or Noah Sewell being drafted by us with there athleticism & physical traits because they fit well with what we look to do

I'm all in on Campbell, the dude just flat out can play the position but Sanders would be next on my list.CWood24 wrote Fri Mar 31, 2023 4:49 am:This is the deepest LB class i’ve seen in years there might be starters to be had through the first 3 rounds
