McDaniels offense seems to be very rigid and specific. It may explain why that one year in St.Louis was such a disaster (team was bad but the 32nd ranked offense was on him) as his offense requires players with specific skillsets and rigid adherence to the playbook and that takes years to cultivate. Seems like save for Adams and Jacobs that the rest of the skill players had a difficult time adapting. That was never a problem in New England because the offense was set in stone for over a decade but it’s worth noting that WR’s seemed to struggle in general in the Patriots offense as almost all their drafted WR’s busted and most of their UFA WR’s disappointed. It seemed like only TE’s and slot receivers flourished in that offense. That may be a reason that Meyers was top priority for them in free agency as he’s well versed in that offense and a rare WR that flourished in it.RI RAIDER » Tue May 02, 2023 7:29 am
