I guess I am on a different page from many, but given the state of the team and organization, the Michael Mayer problem is not even on my radar.GUYDON » Sun Nov 03, 2024 10:15 am
Yeah super smart to pay employees that are there doing thier jobs less than those who put the work on every one else.srv5490 wrote Sat Nov 02, 2024 11:13 pm:Boss: "See yah meathead. BTW, this type of stupid, petty shit is why you made so much less than John.'

What extra work is being put on others? It's not like we have to play short a player. We have enough tight ends. It is the same as a guy blowing out a knee.GUYDON wrote Sun Nov 03, 2024 10:15 am:Yeah super smart to pay employees that are there doing thier jobs less than those who put the work on every one else.
That sounds like a recipe for success lol

If 55 players had the same problem we wouldnt have a team and nothing would show up on MRI's. We dont need anymore headcases on our team.Swagron wrote Sun Nov 03, 2024 2:40 am:Would the team really be any better or worse if he’s playing or not? No QB and idiot HC. Why does anyone need to know the guys business?

Frankly, I'm astounded by the mental gymnastics that you are able to go through to make yourself a victim in this scenario, but you do you.GUYDON wrote Sun Nov 03, 2024 10:15 am:Yeah super smart to pay employees that are there doing thier jobs less than those who put the work on every one else.

But they’re aren’t 55 players with the same problem. Some of you guys sound like old ladies,rich72 wrote Sun Nov 03, 2024 2:04 pm: If 55 players had the same problem we wouldnt have a team and nothing would show up on MRI's. We dont need anymore headcases on our team.

Well that might just be another problem he needs to overcome...really don't want to hear anymore about this dude until he is in the building doing work.rich72 wrote Sun Nov 03, 2024 11:21 pm:Hes going to come back to the team and the entire coaching staff is different.

I think he’s back to practice now, isn’t he?pfish57 wrote Sun Nov 03, 2024 11:46 pm: Well that might just be another problem he needs to overcome...really don't want to hear anymore about this dude until he is in the building doing work.

No gymnastics required, I come from a different time where we werent coddled. I did 2 tours in combat, and I have never missed a day of work because I couldnt get my shit together.srv5490 wrote Sun Nov 03, 2024 2:10 pm:Frankly, I'm astounded by the mental gymnastics that you are able to go through to make yourself a victim in this scenario, but you do you.

Good for you. I haven't missed many days of work in my lifetime, either - probably between 10 and 15 and I'm 59. Twice in my life I have gone straight from the operating room to work on the same day (hernia repair and shoulder reconstruction surgery). When my dad was dying, though, I needed to take a few days off to be with him and support my family, so I needed my coworkers to cover me for a few days. I stayed awake at his bedside for three days straight, in part because I was working all night to make things manageable for my coworkers, but I guess that was "getting my shit together" to badasses like yourself.GUYDON wrote Tue Nov 12, 2024 5:53 pm:No gymnastics required, I come from a different time where we werent coddled. You have absolutely no idea what his issues were, and to dismiss them without any evidence like you did says a lot more about you than it does about him.GUYDON wrote Tue Nov 12, 2024 5:53 pm:Men used to be men, and now they are like coddled little girls because they have "problems". Everyone has problems. The difference is they make their problems everyone elses problems.
By all means get the help you need, and luckily he has the finances and support system to get it.
But Im not going to act like he is some kind of hero for leaving people that were depending on him so he can deal with his shit when others are dealing with the same shit without burdening others.
Again we can all think what we want.

I think he would have been a big help in wr,s department…we got Meyer, Bower and Tucker, then list really drop after Tucker…I think Mayer would have gotten a lot of playing time if he was on the team to play….Swagron wrote Sun Nov 03, 2024 2:40 am:Would the team really be any better or worse if he’s playing or not? Mayer has been assigned a support bunny. He should be good from here on out.
