All I've got is that I hope he is back to playing ball soon. Not for the team this year but for himself and the prospects of the team next year.

There is being compassionate and there is being taken advantage of.
You want him out on the field when he isn't healthy mentally is the same as having a guy go out there when he isn't healthy physically. He wouldn't help us. Miss a block, miss a route. But hey at least he is out there even though he is killing the team.
You don't force a guy out there with no ACL joint or with a concussion. No difference.
And “ we” don’t have a team lol
Men used to be men, and now they are like coddled little girls because they have "problems". Everyone has problems. The difference is they make their problems everyone elses problems.
By all means get the help you need, and luckily he has the finances and support system to get it.
But Im not going to act like he is some kind of hero for leaving people that were depending on him so he can deal with his shit when others are dealing with the same shit without burdening others.
Again we can all think what we want.
And, perhaps most telling, is the fact that absolutely nobody in this discussion acted like he's some kind of hero. Nothing even remotely close to that. You, however, saw this as an opportunity to tell us how heroic you are - for what, the 20th time?

What extra work is being put on others? It's not like we have to play short a player. We have enough tight ends. If 55 players had the same problem we wouldnt have a team and nothing would show up on MRI's. No gymnastics required, I come from a different time where we werent coddled. Good for you. I haven't missed many days of work in my lifetime, either - probably between 10 and 15 and I'm 59. Twice in my life I have gone straight from the operating room to work on the same day (hernia repair and shoulder reconstruction surgery). When my dad was dying, though, I needed to take a few days off to be with him and support my family, so I needed my coworkers to cover me for a few days.
