Yes, it has become a sad truth. I'm not even certain winning changes this. It might help mitigate the problem a bit but I think from here on out the Raiders will never truly have home field advantage with the exception of possibly playing the Chargers in LA.

I agree 100%. Even if the team is winning there will always be a large number of opponents fans. It's the way it was going to be there in Vegas. Mark will have sold out games forever no matter how bad the team plays. It was a no brained from a business sense but there is a price to pay

Same with any destination city. New Orleans will have lots of visiting fans, Nashville on game day looks like a neutral site stadium...and on and on.

Agreed. Not too many opposing fans would lay that much down for a winter game in Green Bay or Buffalo mid December.

Vegas is just too convenient.

Winning curbs it , yeah. Win or lose, though, the ONLY person donning a Raiders shirt that’s going to be happy regardless is Mark Davis ( bank account).

I never miss a game in NO. It's always a ton of visiting fans. Next year will be crazy with Carr playing there. I loved staying in SF and going to the Oakland games. Giants were always in town so I could catch a baseball game as well

You know who didn't help is people with the "stay in Oakland" signs. Lots of Oakland season ticket holders didn't want to go along with the Raiders to LV so they protested by not buying season tickets in LV (which were very affordable). I've spoke to a few previous STH and they wish now that they would've bought tickets in LV. This left the Raiders having to find butts for the seats and that includes investors.

It also doesn't help that the majority of Raider fans have to travel to LV just like opposing fans do.

By next year ALL PSL's will be paid off (for those who financed there PSL costs with the Raiders). I think this will allow more Raider fans like myself to be able to go to more games without the hefty PSL payment. I will be handing the Raiders my last $5400 payment on my two PSL's next March and this will allow me to free up some spending money to go to LV more often then I already am.

Regardless out of state fans who own tickets will not be able to go to every game.

IF the Raiders build a winner then the crowds at home will become homefield advantage again. That is FACT.

Would you all prefer we had a big tarp on the upper section like we did in Oakland? Tickets were really cheap the last few years of Oakland and they still couldn't fill up that stadium.

Not that this was exactly me, but LV is out of my weekly commute distance. Hard to blame people not buying into something 100's of miles away. It was a fair choice for them to say, no thank you.

So this is going to happen and until a lot of years go by and it gets old or we get really good, this is going to be a thing, so you adjust, that's all we can do.

I’ve been to home games in LA, Oakland, and Vegas. I’ll take Vegas every time regardless of how many opposing fans are there. It’s a much better experience for me

I think everyone agrees this was the only choice to make. An old worn out stadium or a license to print money in a new facility. But the reality is no matter how good the team is there will be a ton of opposing fans it's just the way it is. This was the home opener.

My neighbor was a STH in Oakland since their return from LA. Raider ticket rep called him asking if he wanted to continue as a STH in Vegas and my neighbor asked, "How much for the comparable seat I have now will it cost in Vegas?" He couldn't get any answer other than "Come to Vegas and we will show you". He kept asking over and over to just give him a price range that was close to his current 2 ticket Club seats he had in Oakland. After asking multiple times to multiple agents he learned it was at least triple what he was paying currently and I dont think that included the PSL cost and it didnt include airfare and lodging of course. My neighbor is far from broke as he is a successful physician in the east Bay Area but he also has two kids to send to college among other priorities so he declined. He didnt decline in protest because of the move. He wasn't mad at Davis and throwing a tantrum.... he declined simply because it didnt fit his budget both financially and taking so much time off.

I'm thinking this hits closer to the truth for the majority of Oakland fans not becoming STH vs those who are "protesting".

This is precisely it.

When opposing fans get come to town they know there is a good chance their team will win. Turn things around and a lot of them aren't going to want to pluck down 3 times the amount to see their team lose.

To add insult to injury the vast majority of them will lose in the casinos. Start adding it all up... airfare, hotel, food, drinks, casino and 3x the amount for tickets to watch your team lose and many won't be coming back. The stadium will still fill up and the casinos will still make money but more from Raider fans and less from opposing fans.
