One thing not to be able to get pressure on a QB and it is another not even being able to hold the edge and be disruptive in the run game.
Wilson just does not look active out there, like he is not even in the game. He plays like his motor only goes to 50% while everyone else is playing at 80 to 100%. He never seems bothered by it. Sort of reminds me of a guy who comes into work, and attempts to do the least amount of work possible and thinks it a virtue. Less he does the better he feels about himself.
Now, that is probably hyperbolic, but damn, is it just me or does he not come across as someone who is very comfortable with his lack of production? There is no sense of frustration or even disappointment. It is like he fully expected to suck and his goal was to be a top ten pick and now, that he has accomplished that, is attempting to save his body any due stress, collect his guaranteed rookie salary and retire young.
I just don't see any hunger and desire or any pride in what he does. I see someone going through the motions.
That said, if it is health related, and he is not fully healed up or is overly concerned because he fears another injury, then sit him and play someone who will actually try while on the field. Right now, what he is doing is not helping the team one bit.
P.S. Crosby is a fucking monster.

well the Head Coach obviously had his own best interest in mind over Max Crosbys' best interest.
