A very good job when considering there are some real talent challenges among the starters and virtually no depth of any quality.RaiderandBulldog wrote Sun Nov 19, 2023 11:49 pm:IF we had this year's defense in 2020 and last year we would have made the playoffs. I'll even throw in 19. They have done a really good job this year.

For the first time in a while i’d say we maybe need to invest more draft picks in the offence than the D16 to 88 » Mon Nov 20, 2023 10:39 pm
Let's get a handful more Monday night.Raider727 wrote Mon Nov 20, 2023 7:38 pm:9 turnovers by the Raiders defense in the last 4 games

I want Sweat too. He’d be perfect to make a wall of the middle, but I haven’t seen him anywhere ranked as a 1st rounder. In fact I’ve always seen him in the 3rd. So maybe he moves into the 2nd, but this team really needs to learn to draft 1st round talents in the 1st round. Something I can’t confidently say we’ve done since Khalil Mack in ‘14.CWood24 wrote Mon Nov 20, 2023 10:35 pm:For the first time in a while i’d say we maybe need to invest more draft picks in the offence than the D
T’Vondre Sweat in the 1st would be perfect for us a big run stuffing wrecking ball in the middle of the DL
After that it needs to be QB & OL x2

I’ve seen Sweat mocked in the 1st a bunch usually mid to late 1st the highest i’ve seen him is at 12, i think by the combine he’ll be a consensus 1st pick he might be the best DT in this draftGoodTimeCharlie wrote Mon Nov 20, 2023 11:31 pm:I want Sweat too. You and almost everyone else on this forum.heavyD wrote Tue Nov 21, 2023 10:43 am:According to the Athletic this is the best Raiders defense statistically since 2002. I have to apologize to Graham as I wanted him fired in the offseason but he’s proved me wrong this season.

In the off-season, there was talk of simplifying the defense so the players could play faster. I think it’s being underestimated how well that worked.miles_j20 » Tue Nov 21, 2023 11:24 am
Can this defense sustain its success going into next season? Consistency has been lacking from this team for a loooong time. It would be nice to go into a season not having to worry about one side of the ball.Ivanavich » Tue Nov 21, 2023 1:35 pm
