Find a DT and a corner.Two pieces would make a huge difference.

I like the combo of Hobbs, Jones, Hall, Bennett, Robertson,Webb as our CB rotation yeah no stars apart from Hobbs as of yet but all pretty good think you can really develop them

You do sometimes get guys who contribute - sometimes long term, and sometimes just short term. But you're not getting real impact players. Cunningham for the Eagles and Reynolds for the Lions are guys who've made it long term in significant roles since being claimed off waivers. Baker Mayfield was claimed off waivers by the Rams and won a Thursday game a couple of days later. Most waiver claims end up being garbage or simply invisible. We'll see how Jack Jones ends up for us. Tillery was certainly a mixed bag from last year.

I get it but i have a long memory and seems the raiders get burned more often than not, guess I'm just gun shy, and some of those guys we pay way too much money to.

Now im waiting for hey maybe we can pick this guy up when the Bills cut him in the next day...

It does happen simply because some player just don't catch on in other systems or have a falling out with coaches

Jack Jones was apparently released partly because of not being a great fit & some immaturity issue from what’s been reported. He has some potential to be a decent player in the NFL

Sam Webb actually showed some promise with us before the Panthers claimed him off of out PS & again might be decent depth player if not more

Webb was released by the Panthers and is back on our PS.

Unless its contract time then professional teams pay you for past performance hoping for the same going forward, very rarely does it work out that way.

I agree. ESPECIALLY if we can improve the pass rush.

It was the reason i mentioned him always thought he could be a good rotational piece if we could develop him

I like our secondary i think it is quietly good & i don’t know if we need to focus on drafting a CB or S as high as everyone thinks

Hobbs, Robertson & Hall have shown they belong in the NFL, Robertson had a lot of us eating some crow which i’m happy about

Bennett & Jones need some development as i’ve seen some good things & some bad things from them

Epps, Moehrig & Pola-Mao have quietly done a great job without much fan fare, Teamer’s release might mean we some more of Christopher Smith to hopefully round out the Safety rotation

If you could get in another good CB vet like Epps that might help all these young guys we have in the secondary develop more

QB, DT, OL & maybe LB need to be our focus next off season for me. Get your franchise QB as a new HC then build the trenches.
