He played well his rookie year, I guess he had an attitude problem with NE and that's why he was waived. Having history with Pierce with him being his high school coach, I really like this pickup. He might even get to play with Robertson most likely out.

A move like this was necessary with the status of Amik Roberston up in the air. Jones has a chance to come in and solidify a spot on the roster for the rest of the season.

This is a good low risk move when we're banged up and get a chance to look at a guy with some potential. I like it, and AP is the kind of guy who can relate to an off field risk like Jones.
