Is "cup of I am a big brain" slang for PCP?

I wasn't able to watch much of the game, but just went through the game day thread. Lot's of criticism of our OC - came across this article discussing Hondo Carpenter's discussion of the AOC's limited playbook that Bo has to work with. I don't have any opinions on it's legitimacy, just putting it out there.

Late to the thread but was wondering all night about this. Disclaimer: I hate shuttling QB's in most every situation but...

AOC clearly made a play that I don't think Jimmy G. could have in the first half with the deep throw to Adams.

But as has been stated on the thread in the second half - especially the 3rd quarter - he struggled perhaps due to adjustments Fangio made at half. (or the terrible O-line play)

If the goal is a W, couldn't inserting Jimmy for the final quarter potentially have changed the outcome. Both look to me to be pocket passers with little to no real mobility. But Jimmy clearly has been down in tight games more and found ways to win.

Admittedly the O-Line might have made this a moot point as clearly they cannot effectively run or pass block based on the 11 game sample size I have watched.

Just seems AOC might have benefitted from watching how Jimmy G handled a close game and perhaps the outcome might have gone differently.

According to Hondo, fangio showed some looks that they haven’t shown the entire season

Makes me think the dolphins are either rebranding their defense, or they are just able to do more with Jalen Ramsey on the field.

Regardless, I guess we were unlucky enough to be the first team to go against whatever scheme they decided to unlock yesterday. Ramsey was everywhere.

If we took FG's we win that game.

Agreed...if AOC can learn to step up in the pocket and run with the ball....might be a different story.

He has had two opportunities, to save/win the game...and he did not make it happen. Once against the Chargers, and now with the Dolphins. If wants the job...he has to come through.

I know its a tall order, but if he can beat the Chiefs...that will be a good feather in is hat.

Although, he did not get any help from the running game....so in second thought...he kind of gets a pass actually. The running game is trash...

I think, just guessing based on what I saw, it was just a rookie getting in over his head. Game sped up and he did not keep up. But the line really did the team as a whole any good whatsoever.

He’s holding the ball too long. Which means he’s not seeing the field either pre or post snap. He seems to be looking into Adams all too often.

AOC played well. Not sure everyone is seeing the game I am. I thought running on 3rd and short killed us. I thought going for it on 4th instead of taking the points killed us. Sure he had one bad pic. One on 4th down didnt matter. One taking a shot that would not have been needed if we just kicked fg's.

It was the play calling and no trust in the defense that lost the game. You need to pass on 3rd down when the box is stacked. You need to kick fg's early in the 4th when you are down a td, and trust your defense that has kicked ass all game to get the ball back.

This is a growth game....but in no way did I think the game was too big for AOC. He made some really great throws.

Bad play calling, bad situational football and bad Oline blocking is what lost this game.

The 1st 2 drives had penalties making it 1st and 20 and Bo would call for 0 yard wannabe screen passes to Adams that didn't gain yards and made it even harder to convert, putting more pressure on the rookie QB.

The running game was non-existent, putting all the pressure on the rookie QB.

O’Connell missed some deep throws to Adams but Adams stopped running hard on at least 1 of those deep shots and Tucker didn't complete his deep pass that hit him in the hands.

O’Connell was trying to do too much in the 2nd half, especially in the 4th qtr but I blame Pierce for putting the pressure on the the rookie QB, instead of going for field goals.

O’Connell needs to play smart football and protect the ball better, especially in critical situations and Pierce needs to manage better. Situational football needs to improve.

Bo needs to step his play calling up, it looked like McDaniels was out there calling plays.

But we all have to remember that we have O’Connell in his 4th start and Bo and Pierce in their 3rd game as OC and Head coach.

That's a very tall task to ask from them, but even with all of that the Raiders still had a chance to win.

If we have a healthy, stable unit, then we can survive with one good player (Miller) and a bunch of JAGs. But JAGs can't make up for the absence of the guy next to them like better players can. We need more players on the line who are good enough at something so you can lean into that part of their game - especially when you're missing a valuable guy like Miller. If we had a mauler at guard, then Miller's absence wouldn't hurt as much.
Van Roten has been solid but for the most part. Parham on the other hand has been killing us all year long, especially in the run game.

36... as in... 36 yards rushing the entire game. 36.

couldn't run the ball, couldn't pass block, rookie QB.

They did have a designed roll out and AO looked comfortable. I hope that is something that Bo does more of going forward. AO's biggest issue to me is his lack of pocket presence. The OL obviously did not do him any favors, but neither did Bo. This kid needs more help to be successful (but he can be successful unlike our last few QB's).
