would also like to see myers more involved...he's a legit #2 this year and forcing it to davonte is not the formula to success. game flow sometimes dictates that other receivers are going to have a big day, it can't be #17 week in and out...defenses key up to that [as well as clog lanes so jj can't run]...they are daring ao4 to go to other players [and it works when he does do it...#87 showed that today when he was involved]
Hopefully by week 14 O'Connell looks way better, or we will be looking for a new starting QB.
The rook had a bad game and while he seemed to be in a groove early, for whatever reason the OC decided then was a good time to go heavy on the run. I have no idea why. The rook never got in a rhythm again.
The play calling on offense was very questionable to absolutely silly at times.
The D showed up and gave the Raiders a chance at upsetting the Fish.
But the offense folded, given there was absolutely no run game and pass protection sketchy and bad at times and the rook lost his groove early and could not get it back.
Unlike some, I am not looking at this one game or the last three and making any long term decisions in regards to AP or AO4.
There are still games ahead and I am hoping that AP uses his timeouts better and AO4 learns to buy time when his OL does not come through.
If we can give one guy 9 fucking years, surely we can give a rook the rest of the season to show what he has.
We were in it up to that last int in the endzone.
I put the blame on Bo.
The play calling was sub par and the play/route design was purely idiotic.
Didn't put us in the best position to win.
The team can't run a "rub" ruote to save themselves.
And those "flash" passes to Adams & Renfrow on the LOS are flat out STUPID.
What is the thought process there ?? .... lets take two guys who can shake and bake DBs with the Best in the business and have them Stand Still at the snap,
Maybe you jump up as you wait for the ball to be tossed your way with NO evidence of someone tasked with blocking the Defender who is already barring down on you to blast you before your feet will make contact with the turf again.
