About 5 minutes later my phone starts blowing up from friends/family all basically along the lines of “who the fuck did you guys just pick!?!?” At this point I’m still thinking “maybe they’re not familiar with Allen?” Or worst case scenario maybe we picked Ed Oliver or Devin white… not my preference but still fine.
Needless to say it was far worse than we could’ve imagined. The best part is that the pick has aged even worse as that turned out to be a historically good year for D linemen. In order, after pick 4 there was: josh Allen, Ed Oliver, rashan Gary, Christian Wilkins, Brian burns, dexter Lawrence, Jeffrey Simmons, Montez sweat.

Still sickens me. I remember that draft I was working late and just checking for updates on my phone… seen Murray, then Bosa, then Quinnen and thought to myself “nothing to see here… I’ll confirm it’s Allen when I get home”.RunOverByHubbard wrote Mon Dec 04, 2023 8:04 pm:Yup. Nowadays yes, but I used to curl in some lower grade tour events. We were never a threat to win any of them but we had a few decent sized upsets and hung in pretty well with some world class teams on occasion.Attyla wrote Tue Dec 05, 2023 10:48 am:Beer league?

We joke about skips, the guy on the team who calls the shots and normally throws the last rocks, sounding like porn directors.
