for the love of everthing in this world we need Cardinals to take Harrison!! if they trade out and he ends up in LA it's worse case!!16 to 88 wrote Sun Feb 18, 2024 9:37 pm:I don't see Arizona trading out they are going to want Harrison. If they trade out he will surely be gone.
Harbaugh is in need of a RB, where that is going to come from is anybody's guess. This isn't valued as a good RB class so we'll see if he lands one via FA or thinks Ekler is it. Henry, Pollard, Jacobs, Barkley could be targets
If the titans don't retain Henry they will be in the market for a RB as well. I would think if Harrison is gone they would go with Nabers even if they land a WR in FA.

I hope they don't take Naubers either because I can see him being a stud too. I hope they release Bosa and Mack, then go Verse or sombody on the D-line.

Made up scenario . . .MexicanHulk » Wed Feb 21, 2024 8:58 am
While I thought Herbert was a tad overrated his first couple years, he’s not going that cheap. It’s taking at least 3 firsts. IMO, he’s not overrated anymore &, still a franchise level QB. Not the elite tier (Burrows, Mahomes, Rodgers, Luck, Brees type) but the tier below that. He’d go for far more than a first & third.RickRyb wrote Wed Feb 21, 2024 8:48 am:Made up scenario . . .
Chargers trade Herbert to Atlanta for pick #8 and Atlanta's 3rd round
Chargers take McCarthy at 5 and Odunze or Nabors or Bowers at 8.
Harbaugh gets his boy wonder and much of the Chargers cap problems are solved.

Fair enough. I'm not really up on trade values. It was more about the Chargers trading Herbert and taking McCarthyMexicanHulk wrote Wed Feb 21, 2024 8:58 am:While I thought Herbert was a tad overrated his first couple years, he’s not going that cheap. I wonder, even if he believes in McCarthy, could he bring himself to trade Herbert to get JJMC? I don’t usually give a crap the media/fan perception/fallout when it comes to trading or releasing players but, this would be a crazy one. Would the owner allow this? Fun to think about but man, just don’t see it happeningRickRyb wrote Wed Feb 21, 2024 9:19 am:Fair enough. I'm not really up on trade values. That is one thing that the Chargers can't do. Herberts' first potential out is in 2029. If they trade Herbert and this has to be done before June 1st for them to get a draft pick the dead cap hit is: 108 million and the savings are 89 million.RickRyb wrote Wed Feb 21, 2024 8:48 am:Made up scenario . . .

Most mocks I've seen have the Chargers taking Bowers at 5 citing Harbaugh loves having a great tight end.WolfRaider wrote Wed Feb 21, 2024 6:44 am:for the love of everthing in this world we need Cardinals to take Harrison!! if they trade out and he ends up in LA it's worse case!!

And Bowers will be just as much as a problem for us as Harrison would be, maybe a worst problem.RickRyb wrote Thu Feb 22, 2024 8:46 am:Most mocks I've seen have the Chargers taking Bowers at 5 citing Harbaugh loves having a great tight end.

That would be plain stupid. If you use a calibration meter from College to the NFL and calibrate JJ by NFL standards. Herbert is elite, JJ would be average at best. The Spanos family has been in this business for a long time they wouldn't allow Harbaugh to do that trade.16 to 88 wrote Wed Feb 21, 2024 7:26 pm:No way that is going to happen.
Regarding McCarthy I agree. I wonder if he truly believes he will be a good pro himself.
