Yep, todays athletes talk too much and over value sharing their opinions. The hyperventilating over AP as some sort of "football messiah" that will restore the Raiders to past glory not seen since the 80s reached a fever pitch with some of the fandom and has the potential to blow back hard on big mouths like Crosby. Ive seen alot of comments elsewhere of people threatening to "quit" being Raiders fans if AP wasnt hired. I think it's a good hire just to be clear.devilraid316 wrote Fri Jan 19, 2024 9:23 am:I wish players would stop giving their opinion on everything into an open mic. Shut up and play. Your play should be a reflection of what you think of your coach. If you want him to stay, play hard for him and win. They did that for the most part for AP in the limited games he had.
The media has created this problem with players constantly talking about stuff into an open mic, whether it's podcasts or social media or whatever. Because the media has to have these idiotic sideline reporters and press conferences for every game. What benefit is that for anyone other than them?
Is there really fans out there that get anything out of the halftime questions the sideline reporter is asking the coach? Is anybody getting anything out of the press conferences? Did you not watch the game? Could you not understand what happened and if something was really interesting or needed clarification, would you get that from the coach or the player you were asking? Of course not.

Anyone threatening to quit being a Raider fan can't really quit - because they were never a real Raider fan. We don't quit, we don't threaten to quit. That doesn't mean we don't get pissed off and disappointed, but we never quit.tatalalicious wrote Fri Jan 19, 2024 3:21 pm:Yep, todays athletes talk too much and over value sharing their opinions. We don't need thumbs up for posts. We need ratings. This would receive the topmost from me!chucker wrote Fri Jan 19, 2024 3:25 pm:Anyone threatening to quit being a Raider fan can't really quit - because they were never a real Raider fan. To be fair Adams gave a professional response when asked about Harbaugh. He said there would be no revolt Crosby on the other hand...Sold My Soul wrote Fri Jan 19, 2024 8:27 pm:Bull fucking shit.
Please tell me this is a muse.
Crosby advocated for mcshit. Then when his ass got fired Crosby piled on.
Now he advocates for AP.
Great. I love you Maxx......but please shut the fuck up. Same goes for Adams.
Maybe Adams will be on this team in 24 or not. But If the Raiders miss the playoffs again......
I would not have a problem unloading both for future picks. .
And if you are reading this and are aghast. ..... were you advocating to get rid of JJ?
I get the feeling the Raiders brain(less) trust it just spit balling. Pasting up the holes.
Your god help us all.

If Chicago were wise they would keep Fields. The guy that everyone seems to have them taking with the first pick of the draft cried in his mother's lap after a loss. Not sure that is someone you can count on to start from day one and handle the baptism by fire well. Just saying...Ivanavich wrote Fri Jan 19, 2024 9:30 pm:The Bears good players are advocating to keep QB Fields.
Nobody seems to care.

Agreed and players like playing for people when they are winning, by all accounts Bill B was a prick but his teams won superbowls so his players loved him, i have a horrible feeling that you have a 4 or 5 game skid next year and all the usual suspects will be pissed off in the locker room and pissed off on twitter and they will be shrugging off questions (after the first couple loses where they say "we just need to play a complete game") and it will be the same shit as it was under McDipshit.Sold My Soul wrote Fri Jan 19, 2024 8:27 pm:Bull fucking shit.
