I'm guessing that the only way one of the top three is willing to trade out of that position is if they come to the conclusion that they can get their guy with a later pick--someone like Penix or McCarthy.

If that's the case, then they could get a haul of picks and still get their man.

But I seriously doubt that's the case with any of the top three teams, espcially Chicago since they already have two top 10 picks. They can get the QB they want and pick up a top rated O-lineman to go with him.

We're either giving up the next three years of PREMIUM picks or we're gonna sit tight and hope that one of the lesser touted guys is being overlooked by everyone else.

Giants making a lot of noise for a QB, they could go JJ McCarthy and sit him a year behind Jones.

If we want a QB we need to move above Denver.

I wouldn’t plan on Penix reaching the season round now. I think he goes to the Seahawks in the first.

But JJ is a proven Winner and we will have to be aggressive for him. So fits what we’re saying.

Possibly you are right. It depends upon the evaluation process and Telesco and the scouts may actually find that none of the second tier QBs are worth a 13th pick so moving up would be foolish. The gap between the first tier and second tier QBs has grown already and throughout the process it may even grow further.

I want the Raiders to be aggressive because they are excited about a particular player and not because they are desperate to fill a need.
