Hmmm…. Why are you not in a draft room if you know who is good & who isnt?BoKnows81 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 3:04 am:No there isn't lol

Lol now i have to be in a draft room to have an opinion? Stop. Aside from maybe Rattler, all of those QBs you mentioned would be a wasted pick.CWood24 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 3:26 am:Hmmm…. Why are you not in a draft room if you know who is good & who isnt?
Same thing was said about Brock Purdy once upon a time
Rattler, Travis, Pratt & Milton all have intriguing intangibles that if you think you can fix there flaws you’d take a chance on day 3
No one is saying they will be the next Tom Brady but when you have O’Connell & Minshew in your QB room then taking a punt on one of the remaining who could have something doesn’t hurt
Competition in the QB room never hurts

And if you can't grasp the fact that the only reason Brock Purdy is semi decent is bc of Kyle Shannahan, then I can't help you.

Well it's my opinion but honestly it became a fact when we missed out on the top 6 QBs. The goal now is to surround our current QBs with as much help as possible, not waste picks on more than likely NFL backups.CWood24 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 4:05 am:You stated it as a fact not an opinion
So wait scheme & coaching matter?
You do know that scheme & coaching can only take you so far, the QB actually has to have some semblance of talent to make it work
The simple is we don't know until they are in the system how good they are gonna be & that goes for any of the top 6 too
Taking a shot at a QB on day 3 to fill out our QB room is exactly what we should be doing, if AOc can succeed then so could any of the other

it was still an opinion after we elected to keep these draft picks that have become the foundation pieces so that when we do go after a QB he has tools to work withBoKnows81 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 4:15 am:Well it's my opinion but honestly it became a fact when we missed out on the top 6 QBs. I'm confused, are you saying coaching & scheme don't matter? Are you being serious? If you're being sarcastic, we don't have a Kyle shanahan here. If you're being serious, well again, I can't help you. You put Brock Purdy on another team, see how that works out.

Again, at the present time in this draft, it is likely too late to find a QB that will be anything more than a NFL backup. I don't think many would disagree with that. I was not referring to next year.Attyla wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 4:32 am:it was still an opinion after we elected to keep these draft picks that have become the foundation pieces so that when we do go after a QB he has tools to work with

there are a couple guys who fit the mode of developmental QBs and while I am not a fan of any of the guys left, we do need to consider taking one of them, our QB room needs one more guy and getting a developmental guy would be a solution I would consider in the 5th round or so. It is not impossible to find a Mark Rypien type of guy late in the draft. State your opinions, just accept that they will not be infallible despite your confidence that you are always right.BoKnows81 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 4:39 am:Again, at the present time in this draft, it is likely too late to find a QB that will be anything more than a NFL backup. You can maybe talk me into all of those guys maybe making a bit of noise or fixinf their flaws/developing a bit except for Milton. That dude is the same qb that he was at Michigan. Can't read a defense to save his life but can throw the ball to the next state. He's all arm and nothing else. I just don't see it with himCWood24 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 3:26 am:Hmmm…. My comments were about a team thinking they could fix a QB’s flaws, we know that teams always think they can make chicken salad out of chicken shitHellbound wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 4:54 am:You can maybe talk me into all of those guys maybe making a bit of noise or fixinf their flaws/developing a bit except for Milton. That's exactly what we have in the two QBs on the roster. If ANY of these bum ass QBs is a system fit, it's Pratt.CWood24 wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 6:51 am:My comments were about a team thinking they could fix a QB’s flaws, we know that teams always think they can make chicken salad out of chicken shit
At this point I would take shot at Rattler if he could be kept on a short leash he could become an effective starter until you can get an actual true franchise QB

But we don't know that any of them are bumsDark Horse wrote Sat Apr 27, 2024 7:10 am:That's exactly what we have in the two QBs on the roster. If ANY of these bum ass QBs is a system fit, it's Pratt.
