How do you know? We don’t know if anyone in the top 3 is willing. We won’t know.haji81872 wrote Tue Jan 23, 2024 2:56 pm:It takes two to tango and we don't have a willing dance partner to move into the top 3. Unless you mean you want to move up to grab Nix on Pennix?

That's your opinion. Can we see a similar opinion from a football analyst who corroborates what you are saying? PFF, SI, CBS Sports, ESPN including some NFL QBs who post their analysis of QBs on youtube e.g. J.T. Sullivan.Raidernation1979 wrote Tue Jan 23, 2024 2:07 pm:His accuracy was inconsistent at best. Arm mediocre. Zero pocket presence. So far all he’s shown is he’s a back up. Also the defense put up a lot of the points

did you provide any of that when you claimed he was better than everyone on the OPs list?silver_ghost wrote Tue Jan 23, 2024 3:23 pm:That's your opinion. Are there seriously still people who think Yimmy is some sort of net positive??!!!! You gotta be shitting me!!!AdamJoshua28 » Tue Jan 23, 2024 3:55 pm
Don't say that because...GUYDON wrote Tue Jan 23, 2024 3:49 pm:Well its going to be hard to be worse at QB than we are right now, so Telesco will look like a genius with almost anyone he brings in.

I don't know why everyone is so down on O'Connell. I thought he did an admirable jobs as a 4th round pick. Except for the interceptions his stats are comparable to Derek Carr's rookie season. If not better considering that he had an inexperienced Offensive Coordinator calling the plays. At least Carr had Olsen. O'Connell was considered the 2nd best rookie quarterback behind Stroud and would've been a 1st round pick if he had declared for the draft the year before. I say we stick with O'Connell as our starting quarterback and bring in an OC who can work with him.Willmark » Tue Jan 23, 2024 4:45 pm

If we look at CJ Stroud and Justin Love as example's of success you need in the NFL, we cannot mess this up. I would like to bring in a solid vet....like a Jacoby B, or Gardner M, and draft say a Michael Penix. The Defense has taken a major step forward, and now we just need a offense not to lose games. We can't rely on a rookie to come in next year and expect him to win us games. We need a solid game manager, not to lose us games, and run the dam ball and play defense.AdamJoshua28 » Tue Jan 23, 2024 5:15 pm
Depends on the rookie.RaiderCed wrote Tue Jan 23, 2024 5:08 pm:If we look at CJ Stroud and Justin Love as example's of success you need in the NFL, we cannot mess this up. QBs that are trash don't end up starting for an elite team. Jimmy G was a 49ers starter for 6 years.MexicanHulk wrote Tue Jan 23, 2024 3:54 pm:Are there seriously still people who think Yimmy is some sort of net positive??!!!! You gotta be shitting me!!!
Yimmy is trash. Always has been. He wasn’t the reason the 9ers went deep into the playoffs. He was most definitely the reason they didn’t win it all at least twice. These teams won despite him. Not because of him. Injury is not what holds him back. He sucks. That’s what holds him back. After watching him this year, how can anyone hold out hope for him?

Unfortunately it does happen. That’s proof. He had very good olines, with elite skill players & possibly the best offensive scheme & play caller. & he still wasn’t good. With all that, they were middle of the pack offense. When Purdy took over, as the very last pick in the draft, that offense took off. Coincidence? Nope! Emphatically no! He’s the reason they weren’t SB champs. He stares down his receivers &, does not go thru progressions. So, sorry, he’s always sucked.silver_ghost wrote Tue Jan 23, 2024 6:46 pm:QBs that are trash don't end up starting for an elite team. Jimmy G was a 49ers starter for 6 years.

Pff has him graded 28th out of 39 qualifying QBs and he’s basically got the same grade as Jimmy G (65). For comparison - the guys ranked lower were mostly backups and mac jones.silver_ghost wrote Tue Jan 23, 2024 3:23 pm:That's your opinion. That Browning guy looked Good. He's been in the NFL for a few years riding the bench but he knew that offense really well. We would need to offer a trade because the Bengals will keep him.
