I was rooting hard for the 49ers. They blew it, not on the officials at all.rich72 wrote Sun Feb 11, 2024 9:12 pm:Found the Chief Lover.

If you go with the glass half full outlook, the good part about this game of that one of these two teams lostSmucky wrote Sun Feb 11, 2024 8:31 pm:I tried to be a 49ers fan but did a piss poor job. I’m glad they lost. I would have been glad if the Chiefs lost too. The only bad part of this game is one of these two teams won.

I went elk hunting early in the day and was successful in rigid conditions. By the time I was able to rejoin society, it was halftime and I watched a very weird halftime show. After that, the game was as predictable as the sun rising in the east. Shnarigteous went away from McCaffery and Kittle for a few series and Purdy sucked balls and lo and behold, Kermit and Co come back. It was actually boring. And tomorrow there will be no sea of red to be seen. I would be surprised to see even a jersey. That's what happened the last time they lost the SB.Raider727 wrote Sun Feb 11, 2024 10:15 pm:fuck the niners and their fans, nice and quite in the bay now....

Ummmmm, weren't you the guy rooting for the Chiefs over the Bills?Willmark wrote Sun Feb 11, 2024 9:25 pm:Yes and you got what you wanted. Thus the 49ers losing meant the Chiefs won.
Rooting for the team playing against our biggest rival only ends in one result.
This isn’t difficult to figure out.

He completely abandoned the running game to start the second half. They had the Chiefs on the ropes and squandered a golden opportunity to take a stranglehold on the game after intercepting Mahomes, being up 10-3 at that point.16 to 88 wrote Sun Feb 11, 2024 9:51 pm:Shanacan't and some of his calls...

I think harshly judging Shanahan for passing too much ignores that the Chiefs can play really good run D when they stack the box. Spags knows what he's doing, and they do have the players to do it. It was such a close game, any number of plays turning out different would have changed the outcome. The turnover on the punt was huge - if the Niners' player's foot was a few inches one way or another, or if Ray Ray had fallen on the ball instead of trying to scoop it......... so many possibilities.BigJerk » Mon Feb 12, 2024 7:25 am
It was the SuperBowl ... so i Had to watch.Jeevo » Mon Feb 12, 2024 7:40 am
9ers had their chances but blew too many of them. Shanahan seemed to forget about the run for a critical stretch of the game, something that has lost him a Super Bowl before. The drive in OT is what he should have been doing out of the half time break. Chiefs outplayed them after half time but were there for the taking. They fumbled 5 times but largely got away with it in the small sample size.
