I’m saying if he falls to 3 then we have to tradeWolfRaider wrote Mon Mar 18, 2024 2:14 am:How can he be our guy when we don’t have a chance to pick him?

I'm with you bro. If that's the price I consider it a favor. Done.silver_ghost wrote Mon Mar 18, 2024 2:59 am:If this is the price I will take it.

It would probably start with 3- 1sts and go up from there, I think the top 3 will all pick a qb. Honestly I'd be happy with the Raiders taking Pennix in the 1st, he has arguably a better arm then the top 3 He's a mature passer and is mobile not Daniels or Williams mobile but enough to be effective.silver_ghost wrote Mon Mar 18, 2024 2:59 am:If this is the price I will take it.

I've said all along i'd rather have a QB that is a possible FRANCHISE QB then all of the first around pics for the next god only knows how many drafts. Not like we've been great with first round pics anyway, seems we've been better a later round drafts as it is, at least overall.HesterLayes » Mon Mar 18, 2024 3:11 pm
i’d swap first this year and give our first and second next yearraiders93 » Mon Mar 18, 2024 3:44 pm
I’m with you - I don’t see it with JJ at all. I have him as QB6. I don’t hate him I just don’t see all this insane potential based on the tape I’ve seen. Whenever his ‘potential’ is mentioned it usually tends to be around his age. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a guys age be such a selling point as it is with JJ.16 to 88 wrote Fri Feb 23, 2024 8:35 am:I see your point.
FYI, in the boards that I frequent on the www they have him as the #4 quarterback prospect. Still, although he's had a lot of playing time it was apparently him handing off the ball. So little attempted passes and YES, I know quarterbacks have succeeded in the NFL that had not a lot of passing experience but it still makes me nervous to draft a guy knowing he didn't throw the ball much in college and will have a mountian to climb in the pros.

Does anyone not want to move up and draft a franchise QB? We all do. But unless we trade Crosby, two, firsts, two seconds and a mountain of gold, we are not going to be able to get one.Sir Raider Duck, OMS » Tue Mar 19, 2024 8:39 am
If Penix or Nix is there at #13 and Telesco, AP and company think either one is the guy to take us into the future, let's not get cute and think "Oh, we can trade down 10 spots and still nab him." Maybe we can and maybe we can't. Just take him, whoever "him" is.RickRyb wrote Tue Mar 19, 2024 8:21 am:If The Raiders trade up it will be a draft day trade with Daniels still on the board. If he's not there they'll stay at #13 and take Penix.

Which is all I would want, a QB with Escapability, but doesn’t RELY on his legs, like Caleb Williams does. Running QBs don’t last long in the league.tatalalicious wrote Mon Mar 18, 2024 2:10 pm:It would probably start with 3- 1sts and go up from there, I think the top 3 will all pick a qb. These are the Raiders we take "our guy" in the first half of the first round even if they are projected to go in the 2nd. lolSir Raider Duck, OMS wrote Tue Mar 19, 2024 8:39 am:If Penix or Nix is there at #13 and Telesco, AP and company think either one is the guy to take us into the future, let's not get cute and think "Oh, we can trade down 10 spots and still nab him." Past draft history is meaningless. We have a completely new GM/HC team doing it this year.AdamJoshua28 wrote Tue Mar 19, 2024 3:14 pm:These are the Raiders we take "our guy" in the first half of the first round even if they are projected to go in the 2nd. lol

Speaking of NE, our boy Jack Jones went off on their "fair weather fans". LOL16 to 88 » Mon Apr 08, 2024 5:32 pm
I think our team is in desperate need for a IOL or two and a right tackle. A running back, and a corner. Although not as pressing, it couldn't hurt to draft another safety a linebacker and a tight end if there is one there that they like on the board when it comes time to select, to bring along for the future.riseNraid09 wrote Fri Feb 09, 2024 2:42 pm:https://heavy.com/sports/las-vegas-raid ... -patriots/
Article outlines the fact AP has his eye on Jayden Daniels. Bleacher Report pitched a trade in which LV would send the 13th overall pick, the 44th overall pick, a 2025 1st round pick and a 2026 2nd round pick to the Patriots for the 3rd overall pick...
That is a hefty price to pay, yet, its the only way to really trade up and get one of those guys... and given our division, perhaps necessary? It has certainly worked out for Houston... and, I think doing something like this sends a strong message to AP's commitment to molding this team into an AFC West contender.
What do you all think?
