Not forever. We need to get the QB. That's the beginning.AngryRaidersFan wrote Mon Feb 12, 2024 5:14 am:And now along to go with Kermit kelce and Reid they also now have an elite defense apparently! We're fucked forever

Why start now?chucker » Mon Feb 12, 2024 6:27 am
You have to build your team and not be too focused on any other team, but you can't ignore the teams that will be in the way of a SB. The Chiefs are the obvious team. You can't say "the Ravens won with Trent Dilfer" because there's no way a Trent Dilfer level guy does it vs the Chiefs. We need a QB.HesterLayes » Mon Feb 12, 2024 6:37 am
Dilfer Ravens team would have beaten the Chiefs last night.chucker wrote Mon Feb 12, 2024 6:27 am:You have to build your team and not be too focused on any other team, but you can't ignore the teams that will be in the way of a SB. Drafting a franchise QB is the first step to getting after the Chiefs, we start there & build on it until we have our QB we aren’t doing muchRunOverByHubbard » Mon Feb 12, 2024 7:46 am
Al Davis did not work that way. He acquired players specifically to counter players or schemes that his rivals (like the Chiefs) had. Not saying that works today, but just pointing out a historical fact.16 to 88 wrote Sun Feb 11, 2024 9:06 pm:You don't worry about other teams. You concentrate on your team and what it takes to be good.

This ^^ is right. Reid's in-game adjustments are great year after year. He is especially good in crunch time, like the playoffs. Then there is their drafting. I don't know who their GM is, but between him, their scouts, and the coaches, they find excellent players in the middle rounds. The Chiefs current defense (other than Jones) is full of guys no one has heard of and they hit and hit hard and don't make many dumb mistakes. Great drafting.RI RAIDER wrote Mon Feb 12, 2024 4:42 am:Hopefully douche bag Kelce will end up pushing Fat Andy into retirement. The guy is the BEST coach in football and constantly has KC looking like a different team after half time. I think losing Andy will also have a negative impact on PM (not hating on his success but I honestly believe it).

You guys that say AP would get a reality check in the playoffs make me laugh, You act like AP never played a dominant opponent in a playoff game where he had to put his team mates in position on every play. He literally beat who some consider the best QB who ever played, preventing a perfect season, and this as a heavy underdog who absolutely no one gave them a chance to win, in the most important game of his life. You act like AP has never experienced that kind of pressure in real time.BoKnows81 wrote Mon Feb 12, 2024 4:41 am:Let's stop with the "well the Raiders beat the Chiefs this year". Please. The playoffs are a whole different animal. AP would of gotten a reality check if the Raiders played the Chiefs in the postseason, let's be honest.
So yes, we need to be building a team to stop the dynasty. Good luck.

What the fuck does all that have to do with being a head coach? NOTHING. Your homerism is blinding you from the fact that we would of gotten slaughtered.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote Mon Feb 12, 2024 7:55 am:You guys that say AP would get a reality check in the playoffs make me laugh, You act like AP never played a dominant opponent in a playoff game where he had to put his team mates in position on every play. Defense win championships! Everything being equal, KC's D held SF to a FG on their final drive. SF's defense failed ---Period! KC has two top notch corners that smother receivers plus Chris Jones was a monster inside. The point? with all the talk on offense don't forget needs on the defense.STHfrontrow » Mon Feb 12, 2024 9:01 am
The Raiders are not competing with the Chiefs until they get a stellar QB.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 » Mon Feb 12, 2024 9:05 am
Middle Linebackers are literally the coach of the defense. Your hatred for AP is blinding you. Is not sustainable year and year out to win the SB like that. Yes, they will always be competitive with Mahomes at the helm, but without Chris Jones pressuring Purdy yesterday, Niners could have easily won that game. They lost to Bradys Bucs that year due to weak offensive line play. My point is, Queefs will have to reload at somepoint, and that is when we will need to be in position to ATTACK. We need a decent QB, formidable Offensive line, and an elite defense. Thats the game my friend.AngryRaidersFan wrote Mon Feb 12, 2024 5:14 am:And now along to go with Kermit kelce and Reid they also now have an elite defense apparently! We're fucked forever

We can shoot the wad and draft a QB who the pundits say is a possible franchise QB. What are the odds that in 2-3 years it actually happens and, he leads this team as is deep into the playoffs and to a SB? not so good! What are the chances we draft a QB in the Brady, Mahomes mold? probably zero! Build the team, strengthen the roster then hope for a better than average QB to plug in as the final piece. Everyone thinks a mobile QB is the answer? Maybe it's part of it but don't give up years of high picks and years of money which will hurt the roster as a whole. It's not there yet! With the Raiders years of failure on high draft picks, FA's and, money wasted especially on coaches and management it's more than a bit worrisome.
