At 38, and without having done anything this year that would suggest he is a viable option in a time of emergency, I really do not think he will be picked up this season.Raider727 » Sat Mar 09, 2024 8:49 am

The only scenario where he has any value is if you are drafting a young QB and he could act as mentor. But the fact that he was in that situation last season with the Raiders and it is almost a certainty that the Raiders will once again be drafting another QB this upcoming draft but are cutting him creating dead money seems to suggest he is not of much value even in that role.

He may not fit the new QCs style, which would explain cutting him. Or they could be just shedding the Patriot way crap. We are quickly learning the Patriot way was misnamed. It was the Brady way. Hoyer may be done or he may be a 3rd depth for some team to run the scout team in camp. Who knows, but more importantly to me, who cares? He got his parting gift, now he can run along.signal wrote Sat Mar 09, 2024 8:45 am:At 38, and without having done anything this year that would suggest he is a viable option in a time of emergency, I really do not think he will be picked up this season.

Thanks for the share. Possibly he did not do much for AO4 last year and as a result he has nothing to offer the next rookie at the position. We all know he offers nothing on the field.Raider727 wrote Sat Mar 09, 2024 8:49 am:https://youtube.com/shorts/M8l0_8o1Wrc?feature=shared

Fuck Manziel too. That was as much Manziel doing damage control and shifting blame as about Hoyer. I buy into Manziel's bullshit like I buy into MLFootballRaider727 wrote Sat Mar 09, 2024 8:49 am:https://youtube.com/shorts/M8l0_8o1Wrc?feature=shared

Yeah, no way he gets picked up with Chase Daniels still in the NFL.signal wrote Sat Mar 09, 2024 8:45 am:At 38, and without having done anything this year that would suggest he is a viable option in a time of emergency, I really do not think he will be picked up this season.

This is a risky move, and it makes me think they might be looking to upgrade the back up, back up quarterback position. I hope they think there are options out there in the draft or free agency. Are there quarterbacks out there who can really hold a clipboard or look good in a cap?
