This one helps a lot of players out. Maxx will still get doubles but so will Wilkins leaving someone free on certain downs. If Wilson is to make the next leap in his development, this is the move that accelerates that. It helps our LBs as well, especially on blitz packages. DB's also get a boost because we shorten the time the QB is going to hang onto that ball. All of this works together and yes, one player can fuel the fire. Think Maxx.MWRaider wrote Mon Mar 11, 2024 11:44 am:If this guy performs up to expectations, look for the Raider's DB to do a lot better.

Once again, Raiders forced to overpay for a guy who doesn't move the needle.raider_kin » Mon Mar 11, 2024 12:18 pm

The one benefit is that DT in the draft early won't be a mistake that Telesco makes.
A fat bouncer at a local club = Wilkins, but at a much better salary cap number.
Crosby won't be crashing into the middle like a headless chicken anymore because Wilkins will take offense and tell him off. So, there's that.

Don't even bother trying it on Mahomes, Patty will probably like ithaji81872 wrote Mon Mar 11, 2024 11:40 am:Arsenal has had a hard one over this for a while now. Best to just let it go.

What I do agree with is that DT's early in the draft are a trap. Hence why this is a very good signing. We can now use the draft to hit the reset button and get younger on offense, something that is desperately needed.Ivanavich wrote Mon Mar 11, 2024 12:17 pm:Once again, Raiders forced to overpay for a guy who doesn't move the needle.

The usual Ivan. But, he did remind me of one thing -- it now becomes a near certainty that we won't go DT in round one, making CB, OT, and QB the likely pick. Well, if one of those WRs drops out of the top 10 that is possible. There are three great receivers in this draft according to all the mocks.Attyla » Mon Mar 11, 2024 12:26 pm
someday, when you actually watch a game you will know that Maxx does not "crash into the middle" ever.Ivanavich wrote Mon Mar 11, 2024 12:17 pm:Once again, Raiders forced to overpay for a guy who doesn't move the needle.

Those 3 WR's are going to be stars and are the least risky of all the players in the draft. I would love to grab one of them.RunOverByHubbard wrote Mon Mar 11, 2024 12:24 pm:The usual Ivan.
