He is clearly not going to get faster (maybe a minuscule amount if he trains hard). However, his processing and decision making should improve (the question is how much). He had poor pocket awareness and held on to the ball ball far to long (totally unaware of pressure coming from his back side). He never shielded his body from the heat of the pass rush which caused him trouble. These are all fixable and I expect improvement in these areas. The kid has never been given anything on a silver platter and he always seems to be able to pick himself up by working hard. I do not think this changes and he will be a better player going forward. I would guess people have bet against this kid his entire career. I am not betting against him because he almost seems like some sort of survivalist and feeds on the naysayer crowd.Attyla » Mon Mar 25, 2024 1:20 pm

He also didn't look like that in the preseason. Sure the game is different in the preseason but it's still too drastic of a change to simply shrug off. The question would be, did the leopard actually change his spots or did some of his poor pocket awareness come from instituting Bo Hardegree's offense on the fly?RI RAIDER wrote Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:13 am:He is clearly not going to get faster (maybe a minuscule amount if he trains hard). I agree that he can get better at everything and I'd love to see him win 10 Super Bowls for us. Maybe he can turn into a Joe Burrow, but the odds are seriously against that. OTOH, maybe with a new staff that gives him reps with the first team, that makes the QB1 spot a serious competition, etc. he can win the job.RI RAIDER wrote Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:13 am:He is clearly not going to get faster (maybe a minuscule amount if he trains hard).
