Not surprising but confirmed by Tafur via the Athletic. He’s a likeable guy so I hope he can succeed in his next stop providing it’s not in the AFC West. I’m confident he should be better out of the stink of the McDaniels offense. In letting Renfrow go, the Raiders will open up $8.21 million in immediate cap space. They will also take a $5.508 million dead-money hit but deem the sizable savings to be worth it.

Strange story Hunter has been, I always rooted for him. Wish him the best.RenoRaiders75 » Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:00 am
That hit vs AZ changed him. Loved him at first, wish him the best.Spirit in Black » Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:02 am
Wish him well. Just not with a division rival.June510 » Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:06 am
I think he's going to New Orleans where he'll have a chance to get revenge against the Raiders.heavyD wrote Wed Mar 13, 2024 6:23 am:Not surprising but confirmed by Tafur via the Athletic. I prefer the immediate release without the June 1 treatment just because my OCD doesn't like seeing dead cap hits in 2025 for a player who last played for the team in 2023. You can still sign whoever you want because you can structure deals with a low year 1 cap hit - the 2024 cap hit for Wilkins is only $11.5 and they could have dropped it to $7.5 if they wanted to.Hellbound » Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:14 am
Ehh...an overrated player on here. He had one good season in which he was force fed the ball out of necessity and admitted he couldn't get open at this level unless he altered routes. People are quick to blame McDaniels for ruining him but every other wr on the roster including a rookie in Tucker didn't have a problem in the offense. A likeable guy sure, but likeable doesn't win roster spots or gamesRunOverByHubbard » Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:14 am
Ah, what might have been. He started off so impressively and maybe the nasty hit and concussion was the deal. I would not be shocked if he retired. He has millions in the bank. Thanks Hunter and good luck in whatever you do next.pfish57 » Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:22 am
I doubt he wants any more murder balls from Carr lolJune510 wrote Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:06 am:I think he's going to New Orleans where he'll have a chance to get revenge against the Raiders.

Chucker, I know you are the cap guru (and I am a lazy bastard for asking this). What is the cap savings difference by releasing Garappopablow and Hunter now vs. June 1st. Someone said they think we may have another bigger signing in the works (and I kind of agree). Thanks!!chucker wrote Wed Mar 13, 2024 7:13 am:I prefer the immediate release without the June 1 treatment just because my OCD doesn't like seeing dead cap hits in 2025 for a player who last played for the team in 2023. 2021 Renfrow was something to behold. That “China” route he pulled on so many teams, or those unorthodox crazy legs moves where he’d slip away from defenders to gain extra yards. The 4th down catch against the Colts to keep the playoff hopes alive - loved every minute.
