A little history on how we came to be...
Soon afterr that game, Bob shut down rf.net to non-premium members, so only paying members could post, completely destroyed the site. The site went from hundreds, maybe thousands of posts per day, to crickets, it sucked so bad. To make matters worse, he had sold out to some fucking ad agency that was sending popup ads non stop, so annoying, and then during game day the site would never work, while he'd post that he needed more money for servers. I never wanted to have a forum, I loved it over there, but not what it had become and that's why we started up, it was out of necessity. It's been almost 12 years now, and this place has become exactly what we hoped it would be, and as long as I'm around and Mexican Raider has been generous enough to host it, we'll never change a thing, and never force anyone to pay, fuck that.
Would have liked Raider Ran to come over, but he was married to rf.net think he had 60k posts and probably knew the consequences of leaving. He drew his line in the sand, then Bob pulled the rug, sold off to scout, and the rf.net would never make it back.
We've welcomed everyone here with open arms, and would be cool to see Ran show up(he actually joined but never posted), I'm sure there'd be quite the commotion if he did, but I don't expect it, and we really don't need it, we've got our own OG members who've been here longer than Ran was at rf.net (seriously, if you do the math on when we started, you'll see that it's true).

I would love to see this site if we were winning consistently and competing for a championship. I have known some of you over 20 years, and we have never been truly good during that time.
I dont even know what a forum would look like if we were in the mix every year.
Even though this team has been rotten dumpster juice , I still appreciate this place for being able to come talk about Raider football.

But post count is an accomplishment. You have to log in and engage in a community, share opinions contribute to the conversation (for good or bad). At least you are there doing it. It shows some type of dedication.
Plus, its super fun to tell people with opinions you dont agree with to "come back when you have 1000 posts" lol
Really though, about the other site the point about post count was, I was an engaged member for 10 years. Forums dont last without members pushing content. It should be worth a little something.

I have been a member of several Raiders forums since RF.net. This place is the shit. It was home from the day I joined. I know a lot of people from the 'old days' on here. The PREMIUM site thread is a blast from the past. It's fun.... and depressing at the same time.
