And finally from page 5Only to say this on page 35As far as the other stuff, I stand on it. Contrary to popular belief, I actually don't switch up on my stances. Which is why when I ask certain people to quote me they can never do it...
Ask and ye shall be givenBowers is the truth. The play when Bowers got that screen...How many TE's do you know that can move like that?

That's a generalized statement.Attyla wrote Wed Dec 04, 2024 12:01 pm:bad take number 5? I dunno, I am losing count
I still feel that way. Gronk was elite at both blocking and receiving. Mayer is cut from that cloth. He has potential to be good at both.Attyla wrote Wed Dec 04, 2024 11:59 am:
I agreed with what Pete Prisco stated. At that point in time (the draft) there was nothing about Brock that made him a great pick considering we had just drafted Mayer the year prior. As a pure pick, he wasn't better than Mayer.CWood24 wrote Wed Dec 04, 2024 1:10 pm:

I stand on it.
Adams didn't want to play for the Raiders, so he was dropping catches and faking injuries.

Bowers is a wide receiver that plays Tight End.
When Mayer was called upon last year as a pass catcher, he delivered. The problem was that he was rarely called upon. It didn't help that Adams is bitching about getting the ball and being a general cancer while filming for Netflix.
Bowers is being schemed open and is getting plays called specifically for him. That's a good thing, and I'm happy for him. It's a shame that Mayer didn't get the same courtesy from the previous regime.

And considering the situation with Mayer leaving the team in response to his demotion, I was mostly right.

I've seen Bowers excel at blocking on multiple occasions?mranquales wrote Wed Dec 04, 2024 7:39 pm:Our longest run against the Chiefs was sprung open by Mayer.
Mayer is a pure tight end that can excel at both, if given the opportunity. Bowers is a #1 WR, which is good, but he's not a TE.

It's pointless. You're arguing with a guy incapable of admitting when he's wrong (which happens a hell of a lot).riseNraid09 wrote Thu Dec 05, 2024 1:54 am:I've seen Bowers excel at blocking on multiple occasions?

no, he is a complete TE, blocking at a high level, and his route running is top notch, for a TEmranquales wrote Wed Dec 04, 2024 7:39 pm:Our longest run against the Chiefs was sprung open by Mayer.

Higher upside, for the win
