Nah, I’m done with you. Braggadocio, bravado, bluster. Pure unadulterated narcissism. Life’s too short to waste. Knew you were an R-Foe from the first few posts, but I made the attempt. Cheers dude. Enjoy yourself.cannon33 wrote Wed May 01, 2024 3:31 am:So now after proving Matthews is irrelevant to the discussion.
All that’s left is a personal attack and name calling ?
Just what I expected

Long term it’s going to be interesting to see what happens with our starting 3 IOLs. I think James is our weakest point in the middle, signed because of continuity and how expensive the Gaurd market was going to be.Raider727 » Wed May 01, 2024 5:05 am
So what is your great plan? Trade James or make him ride the bench after getting paid? The Raiders called James and told him he was still going to be the center of the Raiders before drafting Powers. If they all of a sudden don't, what message will that send to the players?cannon33 wrote Wed May 01, 2024 2:26 am:Wrong , that is completely 180 degrees from the debate.
If you worded it , Powers won’t be a HOF Center unless he plays OG first , then you have it right .

Yup, and there is an out in his contract next year...WolfRaider wrote Wed May 01, 2024 4:53 am:Long term it’s going to be interesting to see what happens with our starting 3 IOLs. Parham has been okay, but he’s not a TT or AP guy. Do we move him into centre in the future, or do we look to move JPJ into centre, as most his value comes from his movement skills at his size at the position. Centres tend to be the lightest guys of the group but we could have one that’s 330 and move like he’s smaller and hits like a truck. Pair that with two mauling guards either side of him and that’s going to be one scary IOL!

The O-line expert guy actually really likes our 3rd round pick as a Gaurd. So we might see him be a swing tackle/Gaurd this year while he transitions insideThe Condor wrote Wed May 01, 2024 5:09 am:Yup, and there is an out in his contract next year...
I particularly dislike having two underpowered IOL playing next to each other in Parham and James. One, at C, is ok if flanked by a couple of monsters.
Maybe we'll see Parham at C (where he should have been all along, lacking the natural play strength to excel as an NFL G), James shit canned, JPJ sticking at G, and us adding another beast the other side? It's one of the reasons I would have been fine adding another G in the draft (say Beebe if he had fallen).

Must admit I am a tad worried about Parham also. Like you I am really hoping TT adds one more piece to the OL that offers up legit competition at that guard spot. And yes, I would like a fucking mauler. Here's to hoping that somehow and in some way he finds a way to get that guy.The Condor wrote Wed May 01, 2024 5:09 am:Yup, and there is an out in his contract next year...

Dude will start at RG filling a hole we have.Attyla » Wed May 01, 2024 8:19 am
all because I mentioned that centers coming out of college can get moved to guard early on. He was obviously a guy who had an axe to grind with me. I suspect I know who it was, and no, it was not the bus boy.GoodTimeCharlie wrote Wed May 01, 2024 7:44 am:I can’t remember the name, but I finally realized I remember the experience.

As to JPJ, and Bowers as well. Maxx, which we came to learn over time was a steal, when’s the last time the Raiders had what felt like a “steal” in the draft? Let alone two f’n steals?!? Hallelujah.

Why are people having such a hard time understanding that James is a top ten ranked center? Some of you have said that he just doesn't "look like" a top rated center. Well, those who know more than you say he is top ten rated.WolfRaider wrote Wed May 01, 2024 4:53 am:Long term it’s going to be interesting to see what happens with our starting 3 IOLs. I cant wait to watch this kid pancake dudes left and right whether and C or G. But he will start at RG Im sure. Not because he has to, but because it will be good for him. He can learn to make calls from James and get a feel for snapping the ball to a QB under center instead of in shotgun.
