I know some here want to be optimistic but if you don't think this won't continue into the regular season, you're only fooling yourself. QB hell is in full effect. Best we can hope for is Trent Dilfer/2000 Ravens and that's not likely.

It is interesting to me that neither QB is looking comfortable. Thats sounds to me like there is a problem with the coaching or coordinator? If both QBs regress from what they did last year, that could be telling

Nah. These QBs just aren't good. I don't think coordinator/coaching matters in this case.

So Minshew had a fairly good year in relief, at least in yards, and O'Connell had a pretty good year with his accuracy. Bot did not throw a good amount of TDs, and both struggled in other areas. O'Connell was a rookie and thrown in to the fire. I do not think he played poorly overall, he got creamed because of some issues with pocket awareness, but that is expected from rookies. Minshew played decently overall, made a pro bowl as a career backup, not too shabby even if it was an off year overall which propelled him to the event and of course all the playoff QBs declined as expected. I am listening to reports out of camp and nothing I am hearing is surprising to me. But that is camp, camp is where you are learning the offense. Pre Season is where you execute the new offense. That is where we learn who has gotten the offense. Sorry to inform the "we know who they are" but most especially O'Connell, we do not. All we know is he played like a rookie last year. We do not know what he can become. Minshew, we have an idea if what he is, but we do not know what finally being put in a situation where he is actually competing for the starter job will do to his game.

Way too many factor to know anything. I suspect even the coaches do not know yet and they are watching them daily

you could make this shit up but in this case the truth is so delicious.

I was waiting for him to say I did the same thing but then it would be admitting the truth so I am now disappointed
