I do like Wagner, but drafting Glaze in the 3rd made me think he isn’t developing as fast as I was hopingcannon33 » Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:18 pm
Right , could be injury concerns with Wagner too.BoJacksonRules wrote Tue Apr 30, 2024 7:09 pm:I do like Wagner, but drafting Glaze in the 3rd made me think he isn’t developing as fast as I was hoping

Yes, James is our C at this point, even Mumford’s sons agree.GUYDON wrote Mon Apr 29, 2024 8:59 am:I think there may be more additions, but for right now...

Anyone else feel better about back up center this year?devilraid316 » Tue Apr 30, 2024 9:05 pm
I expect the Raiders to add a veteran tackle to the mix. Whether it's Duane Brown or taking a real chance on someone like David Backhatiri or however you spell his name. They have a solid with Miller, Munford has played well but is far from putting an exclamation point on any position.16 to 88 » Tue Apr 30, 2024 10:30 pm
Good info.Sir Raider Duck, OMS wrote Mon Apr 29, 2024 10:30 am:But Parham is lighter and more mobile than JPJ. Generally, your bigger o-linemen go on the right side and your lighter, more nimble o-lineman go on the left because more running plays go to the right because that's where your TE lines up because your QB is right-handed. You want a LG who can easily pull to the right side when needed.
Also, JPJ played very little LG in college but played a ton of RG.

Munford played mostly OT at OSU & was a far better OT than he was OG, it was the biggest reason he fell to the 7th for us as he was a day 2 rated prospect just one year priorcannon33 wrote Tue Apr 30, 2024 6:23 pm:LT : Miller
LG: Munford (where he played at OSU)

At least by 2025

I think this is most likely how it will shake out this season too. Taking Glaze in the 3rd suggest they believe he can in time become a starter but I don't expect them to force him into a starting role right away. When it happen and if its at G or T we don't know. Definitely tho I think this is the most likely starting OL based off what we know right now.CWood24 wrote Tue Apr 30, 2024 11:01 pm:Munford played mostly OT at OSU & was a far better OT the he was OG
James is one of the better C in the league he has earned his spot on that roster
Glaze should be developed as our swing tackle, bring him on slowly as he need some refinement instead of the straight into the fire thing we done in the past
You play the OL that gives you the opportunity to win
LT: Miller
LG: Parham
C: James
RG: JPJ
RT: Munford
Swing: Glaze
The likes of Whitehair & Meredith make good interior depth but i do think we need another vet OT on the line
Then one thing we do have is that we dont have to keep a 2nd C with the fact we have Parham, JPJ & even Whitehair so we could maybe keep a Dalton Wagner around if they new regime likes him

Either Parham is the most improved player during the offseason or TT needs to go out and find another piece.
