That was a tragedy. Toran was also one of Al Davis's few good picks at the position of safety, as Toran was really coming on. Though both signal-callers had excellent performances, O'Connell seemed to be the best offensive player on the field.

Is anyone honestly surprised the O sucks? I think we all knew when the Raiders didn't make a move for a QB in the draft that this is what was expected and that's what we have. I'm sorry the "right move wasn't there" line just is an excuse, they could have traded plenty of future draft picks to move up and grab a stud QB, were they afraid they wouldn't get their next Wilson in 2026 or 2027? Oh well it is what it is, what it is is status quo for the Raiders. It went from must watch every game to catching a game now and then for a lot of fans, maybe not for people that join forums to discuss every nuance of the team but for the regular fans out there .. the team is def driving them away and yes i know people here will say "fck them they aren't real fans" well yes they are actually and after 20+ years of a subpar product on the fields it's completely understandable that people will just lose interest, doesn't matter the team or the sport it's just facts of life.KillerRaider30 wrote Mon Aug 05, 2024 2:40 pm:Must listen as Hondo dEstroys the offense in the first scrimmage comparing them to the Gong Show. Kind of what it has seemed like all camp. Minshew holding a slim lead. Add in his escapability and he may just win the job. I know it’s early. New offense. Yada yada yada. It just seems neither are excelling and Minshew is keeping pace.

Why force a pick on a QB just because? McCarthy or Nix would have been very meh and would have been stuck with them for at least 2-3 years if they suck.
