No, you don't need to draft RB high or any other position for that matter. I would point out however the only fly in your ointment here is they traded for Christian McCaffery. So...RunOverByHubbard wrote Tue Sep 10, 2024 12:03 pm:I agree with this -- we knew the O-line was the biggest issues, even aside from who should start between the two QBs. Yes Bosa/Mack is a potent combo but man, they were bad. With this line and an at-best mediocre QB, we might just be a 5 or 6 win team. I like the way our RBs ran the ball for the most part. The 49ers trotting out an UDFA RB who goes crazy once again shows that you don't have to draft RBs high and also how much a great scheme and a good line can help you. And, I think the 49ers have three new starters on their line.

Yes, don't need to, but sometimes it is the expedient thing to do. Or, trade for an outstanding one. Let me think about more caveats.16 to 88 wrote Tue Sep 10, 2024 11:04 pm:No, you don't need to draft RB high or any other position for that matter. So it looks like to me that people tend to get tunnel vision way to fast. It was not the QB's fault, although he has to shoulder the lions share of the blame. It was not the head coaches fault, although he has to shoulder the lions share of the blame. It was both of them coupled with an offensive line that was frankly offensive, a play selection that frankly just sucked, a defense that looked gassed late in the game and gave up some huge runs, turnovers at really bad times that ended up killing good drives and of course playing against one of the better young QBs who is now coached by a guy who adjusted his game plan to kill us off.Dark Horse » Wed Sep 11, 2024 10:38 am
That UDFA already had two years in the NFL and was 224lbs. No matter what you say, RBs don't grow on trees, they randomly emerge from the ground. I'm pretty sure the Eagles are going to be very pleased with Barkley who looks like he will be on course for OPOTY.RunOverByHubbard wrote Tue Sep 10, 2024 12:03 pm:I agree with this -- we knew the O-line was the biggest issues, even aside from who should start between the two QBs. On a positive note Christian Wilkins was a stud. Dude is worth every penny! 23 of the Chargers 27 runs went for 47 yards. Four of their runs went for 129. Damn! The rematch is gonna be great against those sob'smranquales » Wed Sep 11, 2024 8:20 pm
That video confirms what we already knew: we are in DEEP water with Minshew at QB.

Yea well he better be. Bc the Chargers have an absolute STUD in Joe Alt who's only gonna get better.Goodtimes333 wrote Wed Sep 11, 2024 8:03 pm:On a positive note Christian Wilkins was a stud. Harbaugh and Hortiz have dumped around 40% of Telescos guys. Mostly depth guys as the depth was awful. They did release Mike Wiliams and Keenan but that was cap saving issues, and dumped TE Everett who was pretty average, cant block. Even trade for a backup QB who is learning the system as they will cut Stick when he is up to speed.raiders72 wrote Sun Sep 08, 2024 5:20 pm:[Telesco put the Charger team together not counting this years draft
So maybe there is a future?
Your right, 4th down call in 4th was ridiculous
I don’t f’in get it

...And we don't taunt Charger fans. Mainly because we can never find one.Attyla » Thu Sep 12, 2024 1:21 pm
You using Brady as your argument is really bad, sir. He is the greatest of all time. Herbert is good, but not that good. Your receivers are question marks. Herbert will make them better and mask some of their questions, but they are still questions.Bojangles wrote Thu Sep 12, 2024 12:16 pm:So wait , inread a poster here say that two turnovers got us 6 points a.d a rare missed FG. That's just football. Raider fans liked to throw the 63-21 score at Charger fans but 31 of those points were all from QB Stick mosques.
A pic 6, a fumble returned for a TD, another fumble for a short field TD.
You didn't care about how they got 63, is was used to taunt anyways. The Chargers defense is much better than It was with Staley and it has different personnel as well.
The WRs you all say are crap, they are better than you think and it will show as the season goes on.
Tom Brady won 2 SBs with his top WR being Deion Branch.
