Yeah I imagine many a TV is on the game these days, 5 days a week between college and pro. My sister can throw a tighter spiral & better pass than a lot of guys. She even has no interest until the super bowl. The few Raider appearances in the playoffs we'll watch. I guess I'm saying in general the fandom is a bit much. It's outreach is all over now. If a lady's whole week is ruined after a loss that's concerning to me, sounds like nightmare fuelAttyla wrote Fri Oct 11, 2024 11:59 am:My wife is a huge football fan, knows her shit and has schooled fellas when they say something incorrect about a player or record. She never played the game, but her older brother did and on Sunday they had one TV and it was dialed into the games of the week so she watched with her brother and learned the game from none other than John Madden.
I was fortunate though, she really did not have a team per se so when we got together, she went all in for the Raiders.

My wife's knowledge of the Steelers and their history is scary deep. She knows football enough to call out penalties during plays I don't see and honestly sees the total game better than I do during a play. She hates the prevent, the Cowboys and Chris Collingsworth. I lov having a wife who is into the game as much as I am. Maybe even moreso.Attyla wrote Fri Oct 11, 2024 11:59 am:My wife is a huge football fan, knows her shit and has schooled fellas when they say something incorrect about a player or record. as it turns out, this is an issue that he has dealt with before according to a source I found.Xramfan wrote Fri Oct 11, 2024 2:53 pm:https://x.com/fieldyates/status/1844841 ... wgmyXZLNkQ
The Raiders have now placed TE Michael Mayer on the reserve/non-football illness list as he deals with a personal matter.

I read that as well. Not sure what it is thoughAttyla wrote Fri Oct 11, 2024 3:10 pm:as it turns out, this is an issue that he has dealt with before according to a source I found.

So that's at least four games without him. Not going to guess what it is, but this team is failing apart, feels like surrender.srv5490 » Fri Oct 11, 2024 8:22 pm
Well, I will admit to being an idiot who is still clinging to a thread of hope for this team. It's a thin thread, though. Even if I try to convince myself that they'll get their shit together, it's tough to be optimistic with the injuries we're dealing with this season.Attyla » Sat Oct 12, 2024 3:56 am
yep, it is out there, but the specifics are being kept close to the vest. I am cool with that.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote Fri Oct 11, 2024 4:33 pm:I read that as well. Not sure what it is though

I agree his personal details should not be made public, but the team needs to say whether or not this is going to be an ongoing problem, and whether or not they can count on him being available to play.Attyla wrote Sat Oct 12, 2024 3:56 am:yep, it is out there, but the specifics are being kept close to the vest. Well, since I finally broke down 5 months ago and bought tickets to this game, my first ever at Allegiant, I am forced to continue playing the role of forever optimist. Stranger things have happened so let’s hope we pull a “w” out of our hat.Raider_Dave » Sat Oct 12, 2024 9:03 am
Pitt offense is so limited it wouldn't surprise me if the Raiders hang in there and pull out a win in the end.AdamJoshua28 » Sat Oct 12, 2024 2:04 pm
I believe they have a very good defense though. better against the run than the pass, but we don't have much of a run game currently anyway.Raider_Dave wrote Sat Oct 12, 2024 9:03 am:Pitt offense is so limited it wouldn't surprise me if the Raiders hang in there and pull out a win in the end.
There's also a chance TJ Watt ends up with more sacks than AOC completions.

9-30, Steelers win.
