Yes. Any Warrior fan who was familiar with the Warriors' roster in that era knows they tanked. The NBA is not like the NFL where the worst team record wise automatically gets the top pick.
Curry was supposed to go to the Knicks, The Warriors stole him. Then when the Warriors were looking like a playoff team with Ellis and Curry, Ellis was traded for Bogut. The Warriors mailed in the rest of the season and used that pick for Klay Thompson.
The following year, Curry got hurt. Even though the Warriors had enough pieces to compete for a playoff berth in a weak (at the time) Western Conference, they tanked for the third and final time, then drafted Barnes and Draymond. The following season they make the playoffs, losing in the second round of the playoffs to the Spurs. Once they added Iggy the following year, the rest was history...The Dynasty was born.
I want to feel good for 10 years, not for just one game.

I can’t wait for next season for the “i was the only guy who wanted Cam Ward” thread ala Mack or said drafted player is trash or elite comments then sticking to your guns when your wrong
Cam Ward has a sidearm throwing motion. He also has uber mobility. Those things offset the height difference. I stated this the first time so there is no contradiction there.

Have you really watched Ward because he isn't an uber mobility QB he has decent functional mobility but isn't Lamar Jackson or Michael Vick mobile & sometimes he doesn't use it when he should playing to much hero ball
That sidearm motion isn't all that it is cracked up to be as it is one of his reason for bad ball security & he really needs to work on protecting the ball.
Also a shorter QB with a side arm throwing motion is in more danger of getting his passes batted down by the DL & has to do more to get it over the OL so height would factor into it more
If we draft him our receivers are gonna have to learn about catching the ball over the wrong shoulders as well as his ball placement can be sketchy at times with that throwing motion
I’m THE biggest Cam Ward guy on this board but protecting the ball is a huge issue in running & passing the ball
The most important thing to fix other than QB, is the coaching. It is going to take another year or two of good decisions before this team is a solid football team that can compete every Sunday. We will have to wait and see what Telesco can do... and if Mark will stay out of his way and let him do it.
Far too many needs for the team to trade away those assets. In my mind a good leadership group does their research on possible draft picks and makes educated picks. Much more goes into it than athletic ability. Character is huge. I also understand sometimes those picks don’t pan out.
Unless it is a generational talent I wouldn’t consider giving up draft picks. I don’t see that in this draft.
Instead of name calling, maybe consider you may have failed to explain your statement completely.
Although I am sure you think your boy AOC has uber mobility as well.

As a fan, I can relate to the fact that given the circumstance, I still want to see the Raiders win football games. That's what is natural, that is what a fan instinctively does. That is the definition of a winners mentality. Winning no matter what. You're not a better fan because you think throwing up the white flag is the only way to find success, which isn't even correct. Even if we secure the number #1 pick, it isn't a guarantee that it will be a hit, so therefore, tanking doesn't ensure a bright future for the franchise. It's not an automatic 10 year security blanket. The Warriors tanked for 3 years. Then became a dynasty. Now the Warriors will always be relevant in the zeitgeist for generations because of Curry and Klay.
That's what I want for the Raiders. Finally get a franchise QB and be a contender for the next decade. No one will remember this tank year, just like no one remembers the Warriors tank years.

Cam Ward is not a guarantee to make the Raiders a winner for the next decade. Neither is Sanders, etc... you know that. I want a franchise QB as much as you and everyone else, but the Raiders need more than a QB to be a contender.
