shhh, he just said he had a winner's mentality so he wants us to lose. And he said losing now ensures we are winners for the next decade. Us being one of the absolute worst teams in the league for the last two decades have been a blue print that losing leads to winningUC__ wrote Tue Nov 12, 2024 3:08 pm:The Warriors tanked for the 7th and 11th pick in the draft? As a fan, I can relate to the fact that given the circumstance, I still want to see the Raiders win football games. That's what is natural, that is what a fan instinctively does. That is the definition of a winners mentality. Winning no matter what. You're not a better fan because you think throwing up the white flag is the only way to find success, which isn't even correct. Even if we secure the number #1 pick, it isn't a guarantee that it will be a hit, so therefore, tanking doesn't ensure a bright future for the franchise. It's not an automatic 10 year security blanket. Plus, It's Telesco's job to get us our guy, regardless of where we land at seasons end.mranquales wrote Tue Nov 12, 2024 2:41 pm:A loser's mentality is selfishly wanting the team to win meaningless games so you can boost your own ego. You're no realer of a fan than anyone else.
I have a Winner's Mentality. I want the Raiders to WIN for the next decade. Tanking will do that, so I'm for it.
The Warriors tanked for 3 years. Then became a dynasty. Now the Warriors will always be relevant in the zeitgeist for generations because of Curry and Klay.
That's what I want for the Raiders. Finally get a franchise QB and be a contender for the next decade. No one will remember this tank year, just like no one remembers the Warriors tank years.

The season is already over bro. So, tank, draft Cam Ward, and be winners for the next decade.riseNraid09 wrote Tue Nov 12, 2024 3:47 pm:As a fan, I can relate to the fact that given the circumstance, I still want to see the Raiders win football games. Hey technically we still have a 0.46% chance at making the playoffsmranquales wrote Tue Nov 12, 2024 4:18 pm:The season is already over bro. So, tank, draft Cam Ward, and be winners for the next decade.

Huh?
How are we going to be picking in the bottom of the 1st?
Are we going on some miracle run the rest of the season?

This is not even worth a conversation. Klay was drafted a year before Bogut trade. Just stop. This is embarrassing for you.mranquales wrote Tue Nov 12, 2024 3:40 pm:
Yes. Any Warrior fan who was familiar with the Warriors' roster in that era knows they tanked. The NBA is not like the NFL where the worst team record wise automatically gets the top pick.
Curry was supposed to go to the Knicks, The Warriors stole him. Then when the Warriors were looking like a playoff team with Ellis and Curry, Ellis was traded for Bogut. The Warriors mailed in the rest of the season and used that pick for Klay Thompson.
The following year, Curry got hurt. Even though the Warriors had enough pieces to compete for a playoff berth in a weak (at the time) Western Conference, they tanked for the third and final time, then drafted Barnes and Draymond. The following season they make the playoffs, losing in the second round of the playoffs to the Spurs. Once they added Iggy the following year, the rest was history...The Dynasty was born.

But Cam Ward is 6’2 & you said 6’2 is to short for a QB so which one is itmranquales wrote Tue Nov 12, 2024 4:18 pm:The season is already over bro. So, tank, draft Cam Ward, and be winners for the next decade.

How can one man be a talking contradiction

You stated 6’2 is to short & want to draft a QB that is 6’2 that there is a contradictionmranquales wrote Wed Nov 13, 2024 2:08 am:You're the king of reaches. I already answered that on the post your paraphrasing, genius.
Cam Ward has a sidearm throwing motion. He also has uber mobility. Those things offset the height difference. I stated this the first time so there is no contradiction there.

Cam Ward is not a guarantee to make the Raiders a winner for the next decade. Neither is Sanders, etc... you know that. I want a franchise QB as much as you and everyone else, but the Raiders need more than a QB to be a contender. IMO, until the O line is solid and they get/find a running game, they will never contend... especially in this divison.mranquales wrote Tue Nov 12, 2024 4:18 pm:The season is already over bro. He has ran 50 times for 182 yards. In conference play he has been sacked three times a game. That is not uber anything.mranquales wrote Wed Nov 13, 2024 2:08 am:You're the king of reaches. I already answered that on the post your paraphrasing, genius.
