No it wouldn’t. Trading down for more PREMIUM picks is usually the better option, especially for bad teams that aren’t drafting a QB. Picking Jeanty at the very top of the draft for the Jags would be dumb when they could trade down & get OL help which they desperately need along with other positions with the extra picks. Of course you need good talent evaluators & GM for this to work but, it’s the better option a lot of the time. Hunter isn’t a generational talent at his position unless, he plays full time CB & WR at high level. Which likely won’t happen. I don’t think a team is going to play him at both. If he does play both ways & full time at both then, yeah, he’s worth it to stay there

I agree with all this and I can't imagine any team playing him at both positions full time. Can you imagine the wear and tear just mentally going from one coaching room to the next learning the defense and offense in the NFL?! Much less the physical wear and tear...

I still think we end up with 4 wins before the season ends. Going to destroy the Jags and pick up another win somewhere else.

Saunders to Giants and Ward to Browns.

What do we do then?

Why should he waste his time on explaining the obvious? This is one of the weakest draft class's in recent memory.

No dissertation needed on an opinion based forum. None of us are talent evaluators.
That being said, he is correct. None of these QBs are worth a top 5 pick. Wrong year to have one if you need a QB.

Very possible scenario and good question. If we fall somewhere say, between 4-5, I am not convinced Telesco won’t reach as the noise has been we need a Qb for literally years. That pressure is real. Let’s say this scenario plays out. There are many QBs to choose from still. Personally I would prefer not to draft any this high, assuming Ward and Sanders are already gone. Again personally, I don’t see a big difference between the rest of them although a few may become quality starters.

Telesco could pick bpa and grab one of these other qbs as they are fairly even in abilities. He may decide this just isn’t the draft but knowing he must grab one at some point. He literally has to.

Qbs he could consider;
Milroe
Allar
Beck
Ewers
Dart
Nussemeir
Green

If his plan is to pick one of these others, assuming we don’t end up in a position to get one of Ward or Sanders, there are many ways of getting creative to move up later in the 1st or see if one drops to us with our 2nd pick.

He may also, if there is a willing partner, trade back and gather more picks.

Fun to think about but I literally have no clue.

Right now it's looking like the same thing that happened with Carr. Washington figured him out and the rest of the DCs in the league followed suit. Carr never came close to fully overcoming that game.

Will Stroud be able to grow his game and skillset in order to become a long term NFL QB? One thing's for sure; we will find out.

Draft Mason Graham or McMillian and pick any QB that falls to the second. Milroe, Allar, Green-- one of them will be there when we pick in the second/third round. Let them sit behind AOC for a year while TT keeps building the team up. By the time they start, we should have accumulated enough talent to make a wildcard.

I fully expect we end up in the 5-10 range do to a win or two. With that said I would expect BPA for the oline. Then I would go for a 2nd level QB in the 2nd round or move up to the bottom of the first (use the Adams 3?) and draft Brock's QB Carson Beck, QB, Georgia .

6-4 220lbs. Huge arm, winning system. Has good legs. Maybe not elite but it could buy the team a couple of years.

Brock would be happy I imagine.
