Granite I can be bias but this team has more than “Crosby”. That article is poorly written at least in terms of what the roster offers.Opoponax50 » Thu Nov 07, 2024 12:28 pm

Agree Jax may be appealing. Even if you only add bowers, Wilkins and possibly MK (when healthy). Clearly we have some talent on the line with miller, JPJ and glaze. There are some pieces here. Even objectively. Some are rookies but most of those guys would be welcome on the majority of nfl rosters and would be startersOpoponax50 wrote Thu Nov 07, 2024 12:28 pm:We may think that, but others don't.
Most of us scoffed at the over-under on us at 6.5 games. I don't bet on games because I suck at it, but I was mighty tempted to bet the over. Thankfully I kept in mind that I suck at sports betting so I didn't wager anything. Turns out the oddsmakers may have even overestimated our ability to win 6 games.
The point is that we can say we have one good WR and another potentially good one. We do have some good pieces on the 0-line. We have a great TE and a solid D, at least in our opinion. But clearly objective observers believe differently.
Jacksonville may indeed be the logical place for Ben Johnson. He resurrected Goff's career, and Trevor Lawrence has never had good coaching. The AFC south is soft as baby shit while the AFC West has three coaches who have teams to the Super Bowl and won, except for Harbaugh, who did get to the Super Bowl, but didn't win.

I think you guys can rule out Miller from here out. His play, imo, over the last few years has been deteriorating steadily over the last few years. Its one position I believe has to be addressed in the 1st or 2nd round this years draft.srv5490 » Thu Nov 07, 2024 9:18 pm
I don't bet much, but I rarely bet on a team that I root for. If the Raiders win, I'm already happy and a few extra bucks isn't going to boost that much, if they lose, I'm double fucked and miserable. The exception is when I feel like I might have some inside information that the spread is off, but that is pretty rare.Opoponax50 wrote Thu Nov 07, 2024 12:28 pm:Most of us scoffed at the over-under on us at 6.5 games. last time I actually betted on my team I lost the 5 bucks to a Bucs fan friend, He framed the bill and has it in his man cave. Has three coaches who led their teams to the super bowl and won, except for Harbaugh? So doesn't that mean two coaches led their teams to the super bow and won?Opoponax50 wrote Thu Nov 07, 2024 12:28 pm:We may think that, but others don't.

I would hope that it was 'uncomfortable' for all involved.... it should have been.riseNraid09 wrote Fri Nov 08, 2024 5:05 pm:https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/maxx ... test-loss/
Raiders staff and players had an open meeting after coaching changes that reportedly ended, "uncomfortable for all parties."
Unfortunately, this could be the turn of the tide that results in AP losing the team if he can't figure out a way to make corrections and alleviate the teams concerns. What happens after the bye week will undoubtedly be the defining moment as to whether AP has a chance to be retained or not.
I guess we will see, fellas.

Very true. It's not good to hear that the players believe too much time is being wasted, either. That should never be the case.Dr Death wrote Fri Nov 08, 2024 5:11 pm:I would hope that it was 'uncomfortable' for all involved.... it should have been.

If the strategy were working then everyone would be calling him a genius.heavyD wrote Tue Nov 05, 2024 12:26 pm:If your head coach needs to be surrounded by several ex-head coaches in advisory roles it begs the question of why he’s the head coach of one of the 32 NFL teams. I’ve never seen this level of learning on the job for a head coach in any professional sport.

Sounds like a rookie coach being tentative and unsure of himself. He needs to follow his football instincts and let it rip; he has nothing to lose at this point.
