Yeah Minshew starting is probably a reflection of Ridder not looking like the better option in practice.riseNraid09 wrote Wed Nov 13, 2024 11:28 pm:I'm guessing Ridder has shown them nothing they haven't already been dealing with in practice...

Aidan isnt the guy but I agree with this. You had your returning starter and nothing Minshew did looked like he beat him out. In fact when he had his chance to win the job against the colts in preseason he looked like absolute dog shit. Pierce named him the starter because he liked his bigger personality.KillerRaider30 wrote Wed Nov 13, 2024 5:52 pm:O'Connell showed enough down the stretch last year to be the starter. Davante wanted him and that was no secret but the powers to be selected to start a QB worse than Garoppolo. Imagine that.
Maybe they thought the 27 yo needed a year on the bench.
Maybe they don't know what they are doing.
Either way the bottom line is
they'll all be fired next year because of Mark Davis so who fuck cares.

I’m thinking we will see him sooner rather than later.GUYDON wrote Wed Nov 13, 2024 2:01 pm:Im guessing Scott Turner made the call, not sure why you wouldnt start Ridder a few games just to see what you have there.
Oh well not my call

Last year when Josh was fired and the OC left, the Raiders actually played a lot better and it could be easily seen and statistically verified. Raiders were a better team after Josh left.heavyD » Sat Nov 16, 2024 11:32 am
When Josh got fired the team immediately changed QB's and benched Garoppolo. This time Raiders are starting the same QB that's been stinking things up prior to the firings. Maybe Minshew will look better with the offense slightly tweaked but his accuracy and execution issues aren't related to play calling so he's got to be a lot better.signal wrote Fri Nov 15, 2024 7:25 am:Last year when Josh was fired and the OC left, the Raiders actually played a lot better and it could be easily seen and statistically verified. I am not convinced at all that the same thing will happen this season after this round of firings. I am not convinced that the players still have that same appetite for playing and winning for AP. That sort of thing is simply not sustainable unless of course, AP is doing extraordinary things and making certain that his players are placed in the best situations to succeed. Has he done this? The last players' meeting suggests he has not.
My guess, and of course that is all it is, but, I think the Raiders fall flat on their face this weekend. And we get to see that the problems run much deeper than Getsy.

Well I will be hanging Christmas lights. It's early but I am trying to beat the weather. I'll have the game on in the garage and maybe have a toddy or two after I am done on the climbing up and down the ladder.16 to 88 » Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:00 pm
I once fell off a 20' ladder. Thankfully I was on the first step.ToastPatterson wrote Sat Nov 16, 2024 8:28 pm:Well I will be hanging Christmas lights. It's early but I am trying to beat the weather.
