He's young; no way his agent accepts 2 years.RaiderFan1 wrote Thu Jan 16, 2025 9:53 am:Exactly….. and I don’t think anyone is suggesting a long-term contract of four or five years for Darnold, a two year contract seems appropriate, it lets him prove himself while we are developing a rookie QB of our new coach and GM‘s liking

LaMar Jackson? I didn't know he was available.raider_kin wrote Thu Jan 16, 2025 9:16 am:Still, 40 mil for a guy who chokes in the playoffs?

If he is as smart as we all think, I would suggest we let him make that call.BoKnows81 wrote Thu Jan 16, 2025 1:13 pm:If he's as smart as we all think, I doubt he likes either of those bums

I think the actual compensation and guaranteed money is the key - not the number of years. Baker Mayfield got a 3 year $100 million deal with $40 million guaranteed at signing. It was basically like getting a $40 million one year deal with two option years for the team. Baker would be better off right now if he'd signed a one year deal. Players don't want more years, they want more guaranteed money.raider_kin wrote Thu Jan 16, 2025 4:27 pm:He's young; no way his agent accepts 2 years.

If you are responding to me, you must be drunk. You are saying he is NOT worth a big deal, and so am I. Chucker below points out that it is more about money, but I still think he won't be worth what they are asking for.RaiderFan1 wrote Fri Jan 17, 2025 1:26 am:Yes, it appears you are new to this….
He’s had 6 bad seasons, and 1 good season, where he shit the bed in the last two games of his good season.

Buying Sam is very likely buying a problem—one that is not going to be as easy to move off of as you would think.WolfRaider » Sat Jan 18, 2025 6:14 am
Honestly, For me the best long term plan is to get a Bridgwater or Brissett. Guys that have played a lot of ball and know how to be good locker room guys. Especially Bridgewater with his new connection to Ben Johnson. Have them compete with AOC.BoKnows81 » Sat Jan 18, 2025 6:21 am
Hell no. I'd rather roll with AO12WolfRaider wrote Sat Jan 18, 2025 6:14 am:Honestly, For me the best long term plan is to get a Bridgwater or Brissett. Look to draft a guy, Will Howard, Dart, Sanders, Ewers, Milroe etc. and see what happens.

I’d rather resign Koonce than sign 33 year old Mack. I bet we go after Godwin.RaiderFan1 » Mon Jan 27, 2025 6:55 pm
Fvck Mack, likely to want too much money .. and this new kid Chaisson looks like we found a diamond in the rough, between him and koonce opposite Crosby looks better then overpaying for Mac, plus we got our under performing 1st round draft pick that’s played a little better this last season, maybe Pete can get the best out of him
