That's it. I wanted a thread just so I can say that. Also I am pissed at Maxx for telling Mahomes to go win another one. F that, and F him for saying that.raider_kin » Mon Jan 20, 2025 9:35 am
Oh c'mon, you like to put on your prettiest dress and high heels and chit chat with the girls.Attyla wrote Mon Jan 20, 2025 9:14 am:I am not poor

I was giving you a legit out so you could go and eat and drink and not have to put up with the Chiefs being in the game. Me personally, I have not missed a single SB since 1976.raider_kin wrote Mon Jan 20, 2025 9:35 am:Oh c'mon, you like to put on your prettiest dress and high heels and chit chat with the girls.
You don't have to hide it from us.

If it's Philly/Washington vs Buffalo then I would expect it to be a well played contested game more than likely decided by a handful of big plays.Raidernation1979 » Mon Jan 20, 2025 5:34 pm
As a side note. Buffalo has only played NFC East teams in the Super Bowl. 1 loss to skins, 1 to giants and 2 to cowboys.chucker » Mon Jan 20, 2025 5:36 pm
Hopefully the officiating won't have the impact it did on Saturday.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 » Mon Jan 20, 2025 11:21 pm

I'm no conspiracy theorist so I won't speak about a bias for the Chiefs. There are refs who will call more roughing calls than others, and I'm always happy to see guys who call less. IMO the real issue is with the rules and that can't be fixed until the offseason - and I think it really needs to be fixed. I read that the competition committee had an agenda item of Mahomes' sideline antics where he tries to draw flags and gets flags and/or extra yards as a result. Hopefully the spotlight on the Texans' game makes them really address it this year. If it happens, I think we have Aikman to thank, because he didn't back down on it.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote Mon Jan 20, 2025 11:21 pm:
You beat me to it, this is either the NFL saying they want Josh in the Superbowl, or they want Mahomes to win it with out a questionable roughing call. I can tell you this, teams and gamblers look at all this stuff. You can bet the Bills defense is going to put that 7 game lack of roughing calls to the test. And vegas oddsmakets will factor this in as well.

Aikman’s frustration spoke volumes. Dude had to retire due to concussions which is the root (at least publicly) as to the whys for player safety.chucker » Tue Jan 21, 2025 8:36 am
The NFL will not back down on the basic rules because they won't back off on "safety" after the concussion lawsuits. I foresee replay becoming a genuine tool on roughing penalty flags thrown, and it's key to give the replay official the ability to overrule "judgement" of whether there was a forcible hit to the head because everyone on TV has the ability to see it and the replay official is better equipped to judge it than the on-field official. If there's a benefit to that shitty game on Saturday, it's that positive rules changes might happen.Willmark wrote Tue Jan 21, 2025 8:13 am:Aikman’s frustration spoke volumes. But when he is like “really?” On questionable calls?
The NFL is unlikely to unwind the rules per se but they might need to figure out a way for leeway. Because right now? Might as well as put on red jerseys or flags on them.

It’s in the same spot as “what’s a catch” a number of years back.chucker wrote Tue Jan 21, 2025 8:36 am:The NFL will not back down on the basic rules because they won't back off on "safety" after the concussion lawsuits. Conveniently, the NFL will look into it after Taylor Swift and the Chiefs win the Superbowl.GUYDON » Tue Jan 21, 2025 10:27 am
From week 1 of the season, KC was always going to win the SB. They were always going to 3 peat.Willmark » Tue Jan 21, 2025 11:46 am

I get it but please quit being so subjective about it. [directed at NFL officiating] Look at the shot Goff took?Willmark wrote Tue Jan 21, 2025 8:13 am:Aikman’s frustration spoke volumes. Dude had to retire due to concussions which is the root (at least publicly) as to the whys for player safety.

When the Chargers were dominant (regular season, chokers haha) I respected them because they kicked ass & just won games. When Denver was dominating with Manning & Von miller/defense same thing, just dominating really. That's not the case with the Chiefs. From the very first super bowl against the 49ers. Nick Bosa was shredding their asses. The Chiefs tackles could do nothing but blatantly hold & were allowed to do so. Its only gotten worse. No sour grapes here. Its just dishonest & gross
