I agree, but Cook was drafted in the second round. But you don't have to grab a rb at 6 to fix the run gamercraider wrote Mon Feb 10, 2025 6:38 am:Don´t really see it as a luxury pick, a good running game is a QBs best friend I look at players like Saquan, Jahmyr Gibbs , James Cook, in the playoffs of late and they are all huge impact players

Our WR aren't the Bengals, but that is not near the need as a Guard which we can find a starter with our #2 .RickRyb wrote Mon Feb 10, 2025 3:58 pm:Seems like a horrible draft for The Raiders . . .
NFL.com - Chad Reuter
Round 1 - #6 Ashton Jeanty
Round 2 - #37 Matthew Golden WR (Texas)
Round 3 - #68 Darius Alexander DT (Toledo)
Round 3 - #73 Nohl Williams CB (California)

I'm not OK with going with the same roster of RBs as we had last year and yeah I know some people claim that there are plenty of RBs available in later rounds but will those be any better than what we already have?...I wouldn't bet on it.CWood24 wrote Mon Feb 10, 2025 7:13 am:I’ll see your list of 1st round stars with a list of flops - Ki-Jana Carter, Lawrence Phillips, Trung Canidate, Trent Richardson, Alfonzo Highsmith, Blair Thomas, Tim Biatabutuka.
Ron Dayne is the perfect example of a guy coming out of college with all the accolades & being talked about as a generational talent
With no QB, no real guards, no starting LB’s, a bunch of young CB still developing i’d say RB is truly a luxury pick in the first
Our rushing wasn’t bad because of the RB talent it was bad because of QB play, blocking & not playing to what our RB’s actually do best. Jeanty will not fix those other problems.
I’d take QB, OL, DL & DB over RB every day of the week

The SuperBowl again confirmed that Defense wins championships.UC__ » Mon Feb 10, 2025 7:14 pm
Hunter is my top pick but no chance he makes it to 6. Stick him on defense only with only a handful of players at wr a year. He's going to be a star IMOCorleone wrote Mon Jan 20, 2025 5:56 am:The one player I don’t want is Hunter. If we go WR, I prefer McMillan, if we go CB, Johnson is the better prospect. To me, the situation with his fiancee is a red flag, I had a sinking feeling we screwed up on draft day when CeeDee Lamb pulled alpha rank on his girl trying to check his phone, that girl is a risk to drag him down and the fact he hasn’t dropped her yet is disqualifying for a top 10 pick. Too much risk.

Add Tyler Shough to legitimate QB candidates to develop in the mid roundsSTHfrontrow » Tue Feb 11, 2025 7:27 am

You then resign Koonce or bring back Mack , and this D line become elite .

Daniel's top 50BoKnows81 » Tue Feb 11, 2025 8:50 am
I'm starting to think I'd rather take Jeanty over Will Johnson. He concerns me a little.Rabid Raider wrote Tue Feb 11, 2025 7:38 am:Daniel's top 50

If you assume Sanders and Ward is taken top 5, who he ranks lower than the top 9. then look who we get to choose from. Jeanty is 3 by the way. Graham could be ours.
Note Jaylon Walker is rated 6th....
Johnson isn't top 10.
I love the off season business cycle.

Yeah lol to that, love how they all act as if Al Davis is still calling the shots and to another that said we've done bad drafting CB's. It's a whole new staff nothing in the past matters, sure they can still screw it up, but it has no link to past success or failures.RickRyb wrote Fri Feb 07, 2025 10:16 am:Cynthia Frelund of NFL.com has The Raiders Who?!?!?! I agree, Daniels mentioned some areas of weakness in Johnson game and not even rated top 10.BoKnows81 wrote Tue Feb 11, 2025 8:50 am:I'm starting to think I'd rather take Jeanty over Will Johnson. He concerns me a little.
