Good question. I'm not sure of the answer because I'm more familiar with new coaches replacing the coordinators - often with really shitty coordinators (Guenther for example). I hope that Carroll and Graham worked together on staff selection. With Carroll coming in, it would certainly give Graham a chance to revamp his staff without looking like a leader who fires everyone because it could be viewed as the new head coach's plan.

Well, at least on paper that seems a solid staff. Hoping that it will translate to a well coached team that has it’s fundamentals in place

Yeah I've seen a few really talk him up. Seems like we added two good up and coming coaches in this hire and the RB coach.

If the plan is to groom a young successor to take over in house when Pete retires, McQueen could be the guy. Apparently, he turned down interest from other NFL teams this offseason, but chose to come to the Raiders. Definitely an interesting hire. Love the fact that we've been dipping in the NCAA ranks, instead of the normal route of hiring retreads off the scrap heap (which so many vet coaches favor).
