I watched the game tape delayed so I could fast forward through the ads, which are simply not as original or as entertaining as they used to be. I mean, for starters, how many ads do I need advertising an upcoming movie?HesterLayes » Mon Feb 10, 2025 6:09 pm

In a close game your tackles can hold the fuck out of a Nick Bosa & the refs can deem it "let them play"Willmark » Mon Feb 10, 2025 7:23 pm
Willmark Jr is a Eagles fan and he told me that one early in the season. I agree its epic.HesterLayes wrote Mon Feb 10, 2025 6:09 pm:on a side note...Slim Reaper is an all timer nickname

Don't forget the gambling aspects. Seems like a lot of weird stuff happened this year (esp in Chiefs games) where the other team would score, or the Chiefs would give up a safety or something, to get just within the point spread.RunOverByHubbard wrote Mon Feb 10, 2025 7:51 am:Carter hitting Mahomes in the face could have been called a personal foul thereby negating the fumble and turnover. Now the game was already decided at that point but if that penalty was called, the conspiracy folks would have been all over it. BTW, if you go back and look at the dozens of posts here about the game being rigged and the outcome decided by some evil force of gamblers/commissioners/media/and who knows who, it’s pretty funny. That stuff went on for days and right up to game time and through that first offensive pass interference call. What happened? Did someone pay off those powers that be with a couple of billion dollars to make sure the Eagles would win?

And to be honest, I STILL have not gotten over the "Immaculate Reception"...and to make sure I never get over it, over he years, the replay has been shown more often than T. Swift in private luxury boxes.Dr Death wrote Mon Feb 10, 2025 5:48 pm:I hate the fuckin' Steelers, but I have great admiration for Terry Bradshaw.

One thing I also remember from watching that whole game from start to finish, was that before the 4th down Frenchy Fuqua play, Tatum had also made great defensive plays on 2nd and 3rd down.Dr Death wrote Tue Feb 11, 2025 3:52 am:The Immaculate Deception................ fuck the Steelers.

I'm still on a bit of a high after the beatdown of the Chiefs. Imagine what it would feel like if the Raiders won the SB? I was 18 years old last time and I loved it but I don't think I appreciated it like I would today after knowing what decades of futility are like.haji81872 » Tue Feb 11, 2025 7:46 am
My wife the Steelers fan got a t-shirt celebrating the anniversary of that game. I told her they spelled something wrong on it, she panicked for a second "Where" "It should read deception." She flipped me off and told me to prove it or get over it.Dr Death wrote Tue Feb 11, 2025 3:52 am:The Immaculate Deception................ fuck the Steelers.

My Son who is now 41 was exactly 1 week old when that game was played...like you, I probably did not appreciate it enough back then because I had no idea that it could very well be the last Raiders SB win I ever saw...who knew?chucker wrote Tue Feb 11, 2025 7:05 am:I'm still on a bit of a high after the beatdown of the Chiefs. Yep, it felt like we will be in the Super Bowl every few years so I didn't appreciate it enough either.chucker wrote Tue Feb 11, 2025 7:05 am:I'm still on a bit of a high after the beatdown of the Chiefs. Chiefs fans think Rice is going to get a 2-6 week suspension next year. Many think only 2 weeks. What's the thoughts on that? I think in that given scenario he should get a year long suspension.
