In building a championship team, you MUST have a rigorous DL that can get home without the aid of blitzing in this passing era Our DL is poorly built, so poor that a 34 year old DT is our best DT, and this is a huge problem. We have some two rookie 3 techs that are being brought along in young and Silvera, but we are lacking a true NT on the roster younger than 34. Enter Texas' T'Vondre Sweat, a 6'4" 362lbs freak of nature that is lighting quick with good stamina. I think we pair him with a second year Wilson, Maxx and the winner of Young and Silvera with Koonce continuing to mix in and we are in our way. He is good enough to play on some 3rd downs. Well worth a trade up from the second. There is no non-QB pick I want more. He has Albert Haynesworth level ability, but isn't insane and is more explosive.live.B.A.raida » Fri Oct 06, 2023 11:18 am
What pick range do you think he falls in the 1st?Dark Horse » Fri Oct 06, 2023 11:49 am
Big DTs don't often go high due to weight and stamina concerns, so I'm thinking the 15-25 range. But this sort of player would be invaluable for us.live.B.A.raida wrote Fri Oct 06, 2023 11:18 am:What pick range do you think he falls in the 1st?

While at the moment, he looks like a good pick in that range &, especially for the Raiders (2nd biggest need), which QB’s do you like so far in the draft for the Raiders? Cause they that is the biggest need? Caleb’s a given at #1Dark Horse wrote Fri Oct 06, 2023 10:32 am:In building a championship team, you MUST have a rigorous DL that can get home without the aid of blitzing in this passing era Our DL is poorly built, so poor that a 34 year old DT is our best DT, and this is a huge problem. Sweat has a lot of intangibles that don’t show up in the stat lines which football fans will see but most won’t his aoeed to power is crazy for such a big guyDark Horse » Sat Oct 07, 2023 12:53 am
Williams, Maye and Penix, Jr. I'm 95% sure Sanders isn't declaring. Outside of them, I like Ewers, McCarthy and Ward. Not quite as high on Leonard who needs another year and doesn't quite have the zip on the ball I like. Not a fan of Bo Nix's pro potential.MexicanHulk wrote Fri Oct 06, 2023 8:19 pm:While at the moment, he looks like a good pick in that range &, especially for the Raiders (2nd biggest need), which QB’s do you like so far in the draft for the Raiders? Watch some Van Dyke this year & so far he is putting up some nice play this year now last year he had no run game, no OL & looked bad this year they’ve fixed it some of that now all of a sudden he looks like the prospect people thought he could beDark Horse wrote Sat Oct 07, 2023 12:53 am:Williams, Maye and Penix, Jr. I'm 95% sure Sanders isn't declaring. He does look markedly better and he has lost weight, but I dont see an NFL franchise QB by any stretch. He is roughly Kyle Trask IMO.CWood24 wrote Sat Oct 07, 2023 4:02 am:Watch some Van Dyke this year & so far he is putting up some nice play this year now last year he had no run game, no OL & looked bad this year they’ve fixed it some of that now all of a sudden he looks like the prospect people thought he could be
Our issue is McDaniels if he is picking the right prospect

Jared Verse, Emeke, Marvin Harrison Jr, or Xavier Worthy, should be the top pick.Dark Horse » Sat Oct 07, 2023 9:31 pm
Van Dyke was absolutely pathetic today. He had 3 INTs including one in the endzone, but he should have had about 6. I despise his dead legged drop back.CWood24 wrote Sat Oct 07, 2023 4:02 am:Watch some Van Dyke this year & so far he is putting up some nice play this year now last year he had no run game, no OL & looked bad this year they’ve fixed it some of that now all of a sudden he looks like the prospect people thought he could be

So the Bills DT Daquan Jones got hurt at 6"4" 320lbs. His sub Jordan Philips comes in at 6'6" 340lbs. Contenders know the deal.DarthRaider » Fri Jan 05, 2024 11:37 pm
The more I read about Sweat, he sounds kinda like Dexter Lawrence. Sign me up!
