The reasons for drafting him are overwhelming. With him winning the Heisman, we will likely have to trade up for him and we should be more than willing.vtraider » Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:15 am
I'm not against drafting him. Just pointing out the amount of Heisman winning players that busted in the NFL. Including a ton of qb's. So just because he won the Heisman doesn't mean he's going to succeed.Dark Horse wrote Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:09 am:The reasons for drafting him are overwhelming. - Started as a freshman. Has 5 years of starting experience on two teams with one season cut short by injury.
- Tough as nails.
- Stellar character,
both personal and football
- Can pass both inside and outside the pocket and can run like the wind at 6'4".
- Has a relationship with coach Pierce and thanked him by name at the ceremony.
- Will solve the QB void long term.
- Should have a short learning curve due to intelligence and experience.
- Expands the playcalling with his physical ability.
- Will electrify the fan base and the organization.

Which is why I didn't list him being the Heisman winner as one of the reasons to draft him. Not sure why you would go there as I never suggest such was the reason to draft him.vtraider wrote Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:15 am:I'm not against drafting him. I was really hoping he did not win it. I think it increases the chance of him moving up the draft board. I do not care. I still want him. His potential is off the charts and I think he has a higher ceiling than ANY QB. It is time to pounce.Hellbound » Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:23 am
He definitely showed flashes before the past two years and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go #1 overall. My concern would be that Kelly has made a number of even average qbs look very good. So is Daniels finally putting it altogether on himself or is he a product of Kelly's system?Dark Horse » Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:24 am
Same here. The Giants are conservative f☆cks. The team that scares me is Washington. Atlanta as well which is why I am rooting for them to win, but they also could be targeting Fields who is from Georgia. But how about the irony of all ironies, the Ain't. Can you imagine, they don't win the division under Lord Carr and end up picking high. The pressure would build to sh☆t can Carr and also to draft the kid who played locally. If that happens I'm starting a suicide cult and I'm recruiting all of you.RI RAIDER wrote Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:17 am:I was really hoping he did not win it. Kelly??? Are you serious? Kelly nor anyone else can teach Daniels talent and what he gets out of it. Not only that, but Kelly's coaching stems from the defensive side of the ball. Hell, he played LB in college. Why would this be a "concern?" If anything, the concern would be the emmense WR talent he had to work with, ala Joe Burrow.Hellbound wrote Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:23 am:He definitely showed flashes before the past two years and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go #1 overall. I think he has a chance of going # 1 overall, but think Williams will. I don’t think he makes out of the top-5.Spirit in Black » Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:37 am

Not sure why people are even considering snagging him, not sure we will even be able to pull a top 5 pick, depends on what we pry away from the gets, we don't have much else to trade away to move up, is it worth getting rid of Crosby or ... well that's our other blue chip, that's it really and i can't see them doing that.CWood24 » Sun Dec 10, 2023 10:08 am
The major issue that really worries me is he needs to stop taking those big unnecessary hits when scrambling because he isn't built like Big Ben, he needs to realise when he has gotten all he can out of playsDark Horse wrote Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:09 am:The reasons for drafting him are overwhelming. If we keep AP, one would think he would really want Daniels (at almost any cost). I think we will end up drafting about 7 and we need to get to 4 spot to have a chance. It should not cost an arm and a leg to do it.

We won't be in the position to draft Caleb or Maye, so i hope we get Daniels. I'll especially be onboard if we get Jim harbaugh, and he chooses Daniels . That would give me confidence that he's the guy, if Harbaugh feels he can compete for Superbowls with him...
