You are typically correct, even though to me this one seems reasonable, but someone will be offended... because they sit there waiting and wanting to be.HITMAN » Wed May 23, 2018 9:44 am
Interesting, but it will still create discord on some teams... it really isn't a solution, just another band aid to a bigger issueCarrKnight wrote Wed May 23, 2018 9:40 am:Breaking news.

The NFL is trying the Missouri Compromise tactic.
On paper, it appears solid but the NFL is trying to please everyone and when you try to please everyone, you usually end up pleasing no one.

The two sides are too divided at this point. The NFL has to bite the bullet and come down with one firm decision not continue to place band-aid on a buckshot wound.SkullCrusher wrote Wed May 23, 2018 9:44 am:You are typically correct, even though to me this one seems reasonable, but someone will be offended... because they sit there waiting and wanting to be.

If the NFL wants to avoid political statements, maybe they shouldn't play the Anthem. the National Anthem is a political statement. Now Goodell is crapping on MY Constitution. I wish he was a better person. I might be done with the NFL.Attyla » Wed May 23, 2018 9:58 am

This is so weak. If I remember right....Kaepernick started kneeling because he was benched....not for some noble reason. He has been made out to be some great civil rights warrior when in reality he was just pouting.speedkills21 » Wed May 23, 2018 10:02 am
thats my feeling just do the locker room thing and move on best for all involved. And it would shut up Trump too lolgrosse gurke wrote Wed May 23, 2018 10:01 am:This is so weak. Why dont they just go back to the old days and keep the players in the locker room until after the anthem has been played. The story would last for a few games and then we would never have to hear about who is not taking the field...which will continue to be a story. Either that...or just stop showing the anthem on tv.
As long as you give the players an option...there will always be a story about who is out on the field and who is in the locker room.

Kaepernick did this for a couple of weeks and he didn't even bring it up. It wasn't an issue until a reporter asked him about it. Then the SJWs flew into action and made a big issue out of it. If it was an attention seeking motivation, he would have tried to draw attention to it from day 1 but that didn't happen.mad stork 83 » Wed May 23, 2018 10:11 am
The WWE keeps all of the Wrestlers in the locker room during political displays like the Anthem. That would be the best decision imo.mad stork 83 » Wed May 23, 2018 10:14 am
I don't get showing the Anthem on TV. My father in law is one of those who is pissed about the protest. i was at his house and as they were playing the Anthem, he remained seated. I didn't say anything but thought it was odd.grosse gurke wrote Wed May 23, 2018 10:01 am:This is so weak.
